Product Usage Instructions

9. Keep the product out of reach of children and ensure they are supervised when in proximity to the equipment.

COLOR-CHANGING LED STRIP LIGHT

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read and understand this entire manual before you attempt to install or operate this product.

• This LED strip light is intended for indoor use only.
• This LED strip light is not intended for commercial use.
• Do not expose the LED strip light to excessive heat, open flame, a strong magnetic field, moisture, or liquids of any kind.
• Do not drop, puncture, or disassemble this product.
• Do not expose LED strip light to direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time.

WARNING: Before installation inspect the product for damage. If any part appears damaged, do not install this product.

WARNING: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Do not damage or crimp the cable. Do not allow the USB cable to come into contact with sharp objects.

CAUTION: Do not look directly at the LED strip light when it is illuminated. Extended direct eye contact could cause damage to eyesight.

INSTALLATION

1. Measure mounting area.
2. Ensure that the mounting surface is clean, dry, and even.
3. Ensure that the LED strip light can reach the USB port on the device.
4. Remove the protective film from the adhesive side of the LED strip light as you mount the LED strip light (be careful to peel off only the backing and not the adhesive).
5. Hold each section firmly against the surface with the adhesive side down, press the LED strip light to the desired surface and hold in place for a few seconds.
6. Connect the LED strip light to a USB port on the device, a USB wall charger or a power bank (1A adapter required – not included).

NOTE: If necessary, shorten the LED strip light to the desired length by cutting along the dotted lines.
NOTE: This LED strip light does not connect with other units, measure surface prior to using the LED light strip to ensure fit.
NOTE: For best mounting results, place adhesive onto desired surface with ONE attempt. Reapplying multiple times will not guarantee secure mounting onto surface.

SMART DEVICE OPERATION SETTING UP THE App

• Step 1 : Download the Tuya Smart App via the Google Play Store (Android) or iOS App Store (Apple). Open the Tuya Smart App, click the “Sign Up” button to register an account and then log into the App.
• Step 2 : Turn on the Bluetooth function on your smart device.
• Step 3 : Open the Tuya Smart App, the connection window will pop up, click the “Add Device button. On the devices window click the “+” symbol on the right hand side of your smart device.
• Step 4 : Select the “Lighting” category on the left side of the screen. After selecting the lighting category, select “Strip Lights (BLE)”.
• Step 5 : Plug in your Color-Changing LED Strip Light. The light should be blinking rapidly. If the Color-Changing LED Strip Light is not blinking, Press and hold the controller button until the LED strip light blinks red to reset the LED Strip Light. The LED strip light should then automatically add to the App and glow solid red.
• Step 6 : Select “Done”

HOW TO USE

IN-LINE CONTROLLER

• Quick press the button 2 times to turn the LED strip light off or turn the light on.
• Quick press the button 1 time to cycle through color modes without using the phone app. Press and hold the button on the controller 3 seconds to factory reset the LED light Strip and to re-pair the bluetooth connection to your smart device

App CONTROL COLOR
The App offers 4 different color modes with unique lighting options. You can select your chosen mode across the bottom of the screen.

• Dimmer Mode – Choose Color, Saturation, and Brightness of the LED Strip Light
• Scene Mode – Select from 8 pre-existing scene modes
• Music Mode – Sync the LED strip light to music using the built-in microphone sensor or through the microphone on your phone.
• Schedule Mode – Create automated scheduled functions

1. Dimmer Mode (Fig. 1) Tap the Switch at the top left of the screen to turn the LED Strip Light on or off Select the color and saturation preferred by selecting adjusting the location of the selector within the color gradient square. You may save your favorite colors by selecting the + sign above the color gradient square. Adjust the brightness by sliding your finger left or right on the brightness bar.

2. Scene Mode (Fig. 2) Select from 8 pre-existing scene modes

3. Music Mode (Fig. 3 and 4) Select “Local mode” or “App mode” Local Mode – The light will change its color and brightness following the music collected by the strip light’s microphone

   • Select from 5 preset color modes

   • You can adjust sensitivity by swiping left or right on sensitivity bar within each of the 5 preset modes
     App Mode – The light will change its color and brightness following the music collected by the phone’s microphone

   • Select from 5 preset color modes or create up to 3 custom modes.

   • Press the Pencil Icon at the top right of the Custom Modes to customize the Name, Action, Color, and Brightness Rhythm.

4. Schedule Mode (Fig. 5 and 6)

   • Select the “+” icon on the bottom right corner of the screen. This will open the “Schedule” screen.
   • Press the Countdown button in the center of the screen.
   • Select the hour, minute and seconds desired by swiping up on each section. Once the desired time length is selected, press the Save icon on the top right of the screen.
   • The Strip light will then turn off after the set time has elapsed.

Note: Different smart devices may affect the Schedule function accuracy by 30 seconds.
