OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

The innovative KT 40A, 12-24V, 5-Way DC Power Link is a sophisticated controller with omnidirectional capabilities. The unit has 1 Main Battery Source INPUT (40A) and can support 4 INPUT/OUTPUT accessories, including solar (must use regulator if putting power back into the Main Battery). This unit is suitable for use with any 12V or 24V applications and ideal for use with Solar, 12V, or 24V deep cycle batteries, lighting, camping fridges, and a variety of other camping, marine, 4WD, and caravaning 12V or 24V applications.

The Dual Smart-Charging USB Inputs allow efficient charging of smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other USB devices. This unit features 5 fused circuits, with green LED indicators that illuminate to indicate an active circuit and a second LED indicator that illuminates red when a circuit has blown. Fuses can be removed easily via fuse-pulling tools. Fuses are protected by a polycarbonate cover to protect from dust & water. This unit is manufactured using UV stablised polycarbonate, making it suitable for all indoor and outdoor applications.

  1. Remove the dustproof cover from the desired ‘Input/ Output’ and connect the device via a 50A Heavy Duty Connector.
  2. (10A Max per Output, 40A combined max output). For USB QC3.0, connect a USB device.
  3. Once ‘Input’ is connected, the DC Power Link is Live. Green LEDs will indicate ‘live’ power to circuits. Blue LEDs will appear for live USB Circuits. Red LEDs will appear for circuits where fuse has blown or been removed. For Red circuits, do not use until the fuse has been replaced and the LED illuminates green (or Blue for USB).
  4. To connect a 2.1A / 1A USB Device, remove the dustproof cover and connect the device at any time. (Max total USB rating 3.1A).
  5. Multi-use configuration of Input or Output. 1 x Main Battery Power Source ‘Input’ Socket (40A Max input) and 4 x ‘Input/Output’ sockets (10A each), suitable for powering accessories or connecting Solar Panel source for charging (Solar charge controller must be used)

PRODUCT CARE

  1. To clean the DC Power Link, use a water-dampened cloth, clean and dry using a dry cloth.
  2. When circuits are not in use, apply the rubber caps to the connection for protection from dirt and dust.
  3. Always apply clip-on/clip-off polycarbonate fuse protection casing after checking, removing or inserting new blade fuses.

REPLACEMENT OF FUSES

This product is supplied with 3 x 50A Fuse and 4 x 10A Fuses. When fuse has blown, a Red LED indicator will appear closest to the fuse that has blown. This circuit should not be used until fuse has been replaced and the LED illuminates green. To replace fuses, simply use a Fuse Pulling Tool which can be purchased from any major Automotive or Electrical retail outlet. Simply replace the blown fuse with a Fuse of the same Amperage (50A or 10A Standard Blade Fuse).

  1. Blue LED – Live USB Circuit
  2. Green LED – Live 10A Circuits
  3. Red LED – Blown Fuse
  4. 50A Standard Blade Fuse (Main Battery Source Input)
