Warranty.

  • Read the user manual of the Lovens Explorer for the general terms and conditions and safety instructions for use of the Lovens Explorer.
  • Lovens offers a two-year warranty against manufacturing and/or production defects.
  • The warranty requires the use of only original parts. If other parts are used, Lovens cannot be held liable for any damage.
  • Ensure that the toddler seat adapter is properly attached as described in the user manual. Incorrect attachment may cause damage to the toddler seat adapter set or the Lovens Explorer and/or can lead to hazardous situations.
  • Modifying the toddler seat adapter set yourself is not permitted. If this is done, functionality can change and the warranty will be voided.
  • This toddler seat adapter set is only suitable for the Lovens Explorer from Lovens.
  • The warranty is valid from the moment the dealer sells the toddler seat adapter set to the consumer. This means it is important to keep your proof of purchase in a safe place.

Requirements.

2.1 Own tools

  • Certain tools are required to install the toddler seat adapter. Ensure that you have the following tools:
  • Hex wrench 5

2.2 Product parts

  1. Adapter
  2. Buckle (3x)
  3. 50 cm strap
  4. 63 cm strap with loop
  5. 150 cm strap
  6. 6 cm strap with buckle
  7. Buckle (1x)

Instructions.

3.1 Installation instructions

  1. Unlock the three-point seatbelts from the bench.

  2. Remove the bench from the box by removing the bolt that connects the bench to the base plate.

  3. Loosen the bolt and washer from the rear of the bench, as shown in figure 2.

  4. Take the adapter and place it where the bolt and washer were. Reinsert the bolt and washer and tighten the bolt until it is hand tight (5 Nm). Figure 3 – Attaching adapter.

  5. Turn the bench upside down and loosen the bolt that attaches the seatbelt to the bench on the right side of the seat, as shown in figure 4. Figure 4 – Removing seatbelt.

  6. Attach the end of the click buckle to the 63 cm long strap with loop, as shown in figure 5. Figure 5 – Assembling loop strap and buckle.

  7. Take the 63 cm long strap with loop and the buckle and thread the combination through the bottom side of the toddler seat, shown in figure 6. Figure 6 – Attaching loop to toddler seat.

  8. Take the toddler seat and thread the just removed seatbelt from figure 4 through the toddler seat. Now reattach the seatbelt to the bench and reinsert the bolt and washer from figure 4. Figure 7 – Threading seatbelt through toddler seat.

  9. Now reattach the bench to the base plate. Before tightening the final bolt on the left side, the strap with buckle must be placed between the bench and the bolt. Tighten all bolts until they are hand tight (5 Nm). Use hex wrench 5. Figure 8 – Attaching strap with buckle.

  10. Take the 50 cm long strap and thread it through the buckle as shown. Now thread the strap through the rear of the buckle with three openings, as shown in figure 9. Figure 9 – Assembling strap and buckles.

  11. Take the buckle with three openings. Thread the 150 cm long strap through the buckle as shown in figure 10. Figure 10 – Assembling straps and buckles.

  12. Take this combination and thread it through the rear of the toddler seat as shown in figure 11. Figure 11 – Putting shoulder straps through backrest of the toddler seat.

  13. Thread the three straps through the attachment plate. Figure 12 – Threading straps through toddler seat and adapter.

  14. Take the remaining buckles and attach them to the straps as shown in figure 13. Figure 13 – Assembling strap and buckle.

  15. Tighten all fixings behind the adapter so that the toddler seat is firmly attached.

  16. Fasten the buckle underneath the seat and tighten the fixing so the toddler seat is firmly attached.

  17. Thread the shoulder straps through the rear of the toddler seat, as shown in figure 14, and lock the three-point seatbelt. Figure 14 – Assembling strap and buckle.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Regularly check that the straps are still firmly attached to the base and adapter. A loose seat can lead to instability or hazardous situations.

WARNING

  • Ensure that the complete adapter set is removed from the bench if you no longer wish to use the toddler seat. Failure to remove the adapter set can lead to hazardous situations and injuries due to the protruding edge.

3.3 After use
3.3.1 Cleaning

  • For instructions for cleaning the toddler seat, consult the information provided by the supplier of the toddler seat.

3.3.2 Disassembly

  • Open the buckle of the three-point seatbelt.
  • Thread the shoulder straps through the openings of the toddler shell to the back.
  • Remove the bolts attaching the bench to the base plate.
  • Remove the bench and seat from the box.
  • Loosen the bolt under the seat that holds the underside of the seatbelt.
  • Remove the bottom of the seatbelt from the toddler seat.
  • Detach the straps of the adapter from the mounting plate.
  • Remove the adapter from the rear of the bench.
  • Reattach the bottom of the seatbelt back to the bench.
  • Place the bench back in the box and reattach it to the base plate by tightening the bolts until they are hand tight (5 Nm). Use hex wrench 5 for this.

3.3.3 Storage

  • Keep all parts together in a single bag or box to prevent loss.
  • Do not place heavy objects on the mounting plate to prevent bending.
