Noritz GQ-C3260 Series NRK 1 Tankless Water Heater
Product Information
The product is a water heater with a single vent (SV) exhaust type. It comes with an air intake filter, air intake flue, and exhaust band. The tightening torque for the screws should be between 7 and 10 in lb. The product also includes a circuit board, diffuser, roof, and various PVC items such as elbows and straight pipes. It requires a polypropylene pipe and B-Vent for installation.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting the installation, refer to the installation procedure video by scanning the two-dimensional barcode provided (https://help.noritz.com/index.php/knowledge-base/nrk-1installation/).
- Check the condition of the installation site.
- Measure the length and diameter of the B-Vent.
- Cut the polypropylene pipes to the required length for the measured B-Vent.
- Attach the diffuser using the provided gaskets.
- If using a 3 B-Vent, attach the spacer. If using a 4 B-Vent, use another gasket and spacer.
- Insert the polypropylene pipe into the B-Vent, ensuring that the marked point and B-Vent end are approximately in the same position. Apply Centrocerin to the O-ring of the female side of the polypropylene pipe.
- Attach the base junction support to the B-Vent using screws. Make sure the spacer is fixed properly to prevent the polypropylene pipe from falling down.
- Connect the vent using a polypropylene-PVC adapter and PVC pipes. Apply Centrocerin to the O-ring of the female side of the adapter.
- Fix the connection with aluminum tape.
- Set the product to SV conversion setting by adjusting the DIP switch. Disconnect the electrical power and then turn ON DIP switch #3. Failure to perform this step will result in a 73 code displayed on the Remote Controller and a cease in operation. If this occurs, disconnect and reconnect the electrical power to reset the system.
- Complete the installation by following the remaining steps provided in the user manual.
INSTALLATION

Step 1. Check the condition of installation site.
Please check the installation manual for details. -
Step 2. Measure the B-Vent length and diameter.

Step 3. Cut the polypropylene pipes to the required length needed for the measured B-Vent.

Step 4. Attach the diffuser.

Step 5. Attach the spacer.

Step 6. Insert the polypropylene pipe into the B-Vent.

Step 7. Attach Base junction support to B-Vent.

Step 8. Connect the vent.

Step 9. Fix the connection with aluminum tape.

Step 10. Set to SV conversion setting.
(Example of GQ-C3260 series)
- Remove the front cover and adjust the DIP switch.
- Disconnect the electrical power and then turn ON DIP switch #3.
- Failure to perform this step will result a “73” code displayed on the Remote Controller and a cease in operation.
- If this occurs, disconnect, then reconnect the electrical power to the water heater to reset the system.
