Check the contents of the package for completeness:
Item 6338
- 1 ceiling spotlight
- 1 exchange console
- Manual
Item 6339
- 7 ceiling spotlights
- 7 exchange consoles
- Manual
Introduction
This model produces the light by SMD-LEDs which is suitable to the model. Low heat build-up and power input. Nearly unlimited lifetime of the LED, so no more change is required.
Mounting
- Remove the ceiling spotlight carefully from the package.
- Check the function before mounting.
Caution:
Installation and electrical wiring may only be carried out while the power
supply is switched off.
-
Drill a hole of Ø 2 mm at the mounting place (fig. 1).
-
Put the cables from outside through the hole and fix the console, e. g. with a commercial glue.
Hint:
To mount the ceiling spotlight item 6338 to the kibri item 39000 bus terminal please exchange the fixed console (on the product) with the attached console (equipped with two pins). The console is a special construction for the kibri item 39000. The ceiling spotlights of the extension set item 6339 are mounted with the consoles on the kibri item 39000 bus terminal. Installation is explained in the manual of item 39000.
To mount reflectors item 6339 at other positions please exchange the consoles.
While connecting the cables, leave a loop of about 2 – 3 cm length below the model, so that you can pull and reverse the model from the mounting hole at any work.
Caution:
Resistor and diode at the cables are needed for proper function of the lamp.
Never cut them off! Never cover the resistor with insulation material, because
it has to be cooled by surrounding air!
Connection
Connect the LED-model to the lighting power output of a model train transformer (e. g. item 5200) or power supply as shown in fig. 3 and/or 4.
DC voltage: Connect the diode (red part with black marking) with the positive pole and the resistor with the negative pole of the power supply.
AC voltage: Operation with AC voltage could cause some flickering. We recommend to use the Viessmann power module, item 5215, which is sufficient for approx. 100 LED-lamps or -reflectors (fig. 4). Connect the cable with the diode to the brown output socket and the cable with the resistor to the red output socket.
Hint:
Perfectly fits kibri product item 39000 modern bus terminal Halle/Saale.
Technical data
Operating voltage: 10 – 16 V AC ~ (with and without 5215 power module) 14
– 24 V DC = 13 – 24 V digital signal
Operating current: ca. 10 mA
HINT: Power module item 5215
- Offers flicker-free lighting when using AC power.
- Nearly double brightness is possible.
