About this appliance
The Princess 01.182238.01.001 | 01.182244.01.001 | 01.182254.01.001 is an air fryer for grilling, baking, and roasting food using hot air without the use of oil.
Intended use
This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
This appliance is intended exclusively for domestic, non-commercial use.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

  • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • farm houses;
  • by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments;
  • bed and breakfast type environments.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Only use the appliance as described in this user manual.
Any use of the appliance other than described in this user manual is regarded as misuse and may cause injury or damage to the appliance and void the warranty.

Safety precautions

WARNING

Safety hazard due to unintended use:

  • Only use the appliance as described in this user manual.

  • Never use the appliance if there are visible signs of damage or defects. Always replace a damaged or defective appliance immediately.

  • Never make any adjustments to the appliance. Adjustments may affect safety, warranty and proper operation.
    Electric shock hazard due to short-circuiting:

  •  Never use the appliance if there are visible signs of damage or defects to the appliance or power cable. Always replace a damaged or defective appliance or power cable immediately or contact customer service.

  • Always avoid spillage on the power cable.

  • Never open the appliance. The appliance may only be opened for maintenance by an authorised technician.

  • Never replace the power cable yourself. Always let the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person replace the power cable.

  • Never lift the appliance by the power cable. Lifting the appliance by the power cable may damage the power cable. Only lift the appliance by holding the base.

  • Always unplug the power cable when the appliance is not in use or unattended, and before cleaning.

  • Always check if the voltage stated on the type plate of your appliance matches your mains voltage before use.

  • Never insert any objects into the air vent openings. Fire hazard due to overheating:

  • Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. Only use the appliance under supervision. Switch off the appliance and remove the power cable from the power outlet when you leave the room.

  • Never use the appliance with a programmer, timer, separate remote control system or any other device that switches the appliance on automatically.

  • Always ensure there is enough space around the appliance. Leave at least 15 cm of free space around the appliance to ensure proper ventilation.

  • Never place the appliance directly underneath a power outlet. The appliance may become hot during use. Always keep the back of the appliance clear of any objects.

  • Never cover the appliance or the air vents when in use.

  • Never place the appliance near a heat source.

  • Never fill the pan with oil.

Fire hazard due to short-circuiting:

  • Never drop the appliance and avoid bumping. Excessive vibrations can lead to loosened connections and can influence proper functioning of the appliance. Stop using the appliance if the appliance has been dropped.

  • Never use the appliance with an extension cable.

  • Never connect any other appliance with high power consumption to the same group.
    Fire hazard due to burnt food:

  • Always clean all parts that come into contact with food after use.

  • Never exceed the maximum level indicated on the inside of the pan to avoid contact with the heating element.
    Burning hazard due to hot liquids:

  • Never use the appliance on recreational vehicles or boats.
    Hot liquid may spill out of the appliance.

  • Always ensure the basket is fully closed. Hot liquid may splatter out of the appliance.

  • Never move the appliance during use. Hot liquid may spill out of the appliance.
    Choking hazard due to plastic packaging:

  • Never let children play with the packaging material. Always keep the packaging material out of the reach of children. Snagging hazard due to moving parts:

  • Always switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power source before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

CAUTION

Burning hazard due to heat:

  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • Never touch the hot surfaces during or shortly after use. The hot surfaces may be subject to residual heat. Let the appliance cool down completely before handling the appliance.
    Tripping hazard due to loose cables:

  • Never leave the power cable hanging out in a way that someone might trip over it or accidentally pull it.

NOTICE

Risk of damaging the appliance:

  • Never use aggressive chemical cleaning agents that can damage the appliance when cleaning the appliance.
  • Only use the appliance with the provided accessories or accessories recommended by Princess.
  • Never fill the pan above the maximum capacity marking to prevent overflowing.
  • Never place the appliance in a dishwasher.
  • Never place the appliance near the edge of a countertop during use. Vibrations may occur during use which may cause the appliance to move. Always place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat, and moisture resistant surface.
  • Never use metal utensils to remove food from the pan. Metal utensils may damage the non-stick coating.

USE

Preparation (see image C)

  1. Remove all packaging.
  2. Clean all parts that come in contact with food before use. Follow the instructions in chapter Cleaning and maintenance.
  3. Slide the handle A7 into the basket A6.
  4. Place the airfryer plate A4 into the basket A6.
  5. Place the basket A6 into the appliance.

Using the appliance

  1. Plug the power cable A3 into a power outlet.
    The appliance emits a beep and the lights blink once.

  2. Press the on/off button Bo to switch on the appliance.

  3. Press one of the cooking program buttons to select a cooking method of your preference.

The default temperature and time settings are only for indication. Follow the recommended preparation method on the packaging of the food.

  1. Press the temperature control B9 to adjust the cooking temperature.
    The cooking temperature can be set between 80°C and 200°C.
     Press the temperature control B9 to adjust the cooking temperature any time during the cooking process.

  2. Press the timer control By to adjust the cooking time.

  3. Remove the basket A6 from the appliance with the handle A7.

  4. Place the food inside the basket A6.

  5. Place the basket A6 back into the appliance with the handle A7.

  6. Press the start/pause button Bs.
    The appliance automatically starts cooking the food.
    The timer counts down from the set cooking time.
    To interrupt the cooking process to check if the food is ready, slide out the basket A6 with the handle A7. The cooking process automatically pauses. If needed, remove the basket A6 from the appliance and shake to mix up the food. Place the basket A6 back into the appliance to continue the cooking process.
    The display Be alternately shows the current food temperature, cooking temperature, and remaining time. The appliance emits 5 beeps and the display Be shows END when the cooking process is finished.
    To add more time to the cooking time, press the start/pause button Bs and then press the timer control By to add more time to the cooking time. Press the start/pause button Bs to continue cooking.

  7. Remove the basket A6 from the appliance with the handle A7.

  8. Remove the food from the basket A6 with a heat-resistant plastic tong.

  9.  Allow the appliance to cool down after use.
    Keep the basket A6 open to speed up the cooling down process.
    For preparing smaller portions, it is recommended to place the airfryer plate A4 on the raised airfryer plate level A5.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the appliance after each use.

  1. Unplug the power cable A3 from the power outlet.

  2. Let the appliance cool down.

  3. Remove the basket A6 from the appliance.

  4. Remove the airfryer plate A4 from the basket A6.

  5. Remove persistent residue or grease from the airfryer plate A4 and basket A6 by soaking it in warm, soapy water for a few hours or overnight.
    You can also clean the airfryer plate A4 in a dishwasher.

  6. Clean the base A1 and control panel A2 with a soft, damp cloth.

  7.  Dry all parts with a soft, dry cloth.

STORAGE

Store the appliance in a dry and enclosed space.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible cause Possible solution

The display B12
does not light up.| The power cable A3 is not properly connected to a working power outlet.| Plug the power cable A3 into a working power outlet.
The appliance is switched off.| Press the on/off button B18 to switch on the appliance.
The display B12 shows El or E2.| The appliance is not working properly.| Unplug the appliance and wait for 30 minutes. If you still get the E-code, please contact customer service.
The food got burned.| The basket A6 is overfilled with food.| Fill the basket A up to the maximum level indicated on the inside of the pan to avoid contact with the heating element.
| The food is left in the appliance after the cooking time is done.| Immediately remove the food from the appliance when the cooking time is done.
The food is not crispy.| The food is not evenly spread out in the basket A6.| Place the food in an even layer in the basket A6.
Remove the basket A6 from the appliance during cooking and shake to mix up the food.
The temperature is set too low.| Cook the food according to the instructions on the packaging of the food.

RETURNS (SEE IMAGE D)

To return the appliance in its original packaging, the handle must be removed from the basket.

  1. Press the pin A8 into the silicone circle at the top of the basket A6.
  2. Tilt the pin A8 approx. 30° and remove the handle A7 from the basket A6.
  3. Place the silicone circle back into the handle A7.

DISPOSAL

Follow the local regulations when you need to dispose the appliance. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle the appliance responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
