Product Information

The DWC-MC553WTIR is a camera designed for surveillance purposes. It supports HD-Analog, HD-CVI, and HD-TVI signals, providing high-quality video output. The camera requires a power supply unit rated 12 Vdc, 0.28A min, which should be UL Listed and marked as Class 2 or LPS or PS2. The package includes various accessories such as color deco rings, a test video cable, screws, plastic anchors, an external OSD and signal controller, a template sheet, a torx wrench, and a manual.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the mounting surface can withstand five times the weight of the camera.
  2. Avoid letting the cables get caught in improper places to prevent damage to the electric line cover, which can lead to a short circuit or fire.
  3. Use the provided mounting template to mark and drill the necessary holes on the mounting surface.
  4. Connect the camera to a UL Listed Power Supply Unit marked Class 2 or LPS or PS2 with a rating of 12 Vdc, 0.28A min.
  5. Pass the wires through the mount bracket and make all necessary connections. Connect the BNC cable and power cables to the camera.
  6. Mount and secure the camera to the mounting surface using the provided screws.
  7. Once the installation is complete, remove the protective film from the camera’s dome cover. Loosen the screw on the decorative ring and rotate it counter-clockwise to remove the film.

PREPARING TO MOUNT THE CAMERA

  1. The mounting surface must withstand five times the weight of your camera.
  2. Do not let the cables get caught in improper places or the electric line cover can be damaged. This may cause a short or fire.
  3. Use the mounting template to mark and drill the necessary holes in the mounting surface.
  4. This product is intended to be supplied by a UL Listed Power Supply Unit marked “Class 2” or “LPS” or “PS2” and rated 12 Vdc, 0.28A min.

CABLING THE CAMERA TO EXTERNAL DEVICES
Pass the wires through the mount bracket and make all necessary connections. Connect the BNC cable and power cables to the camera.

CHANGING THE SIGNAL IN THE CAMERA

  1. The camera supports HD-Analog, HD-CVI and HD-TVI signals. To switch between the signals:

    • a. Enter the camera’s OSD menu. You can access it locally from using the camera’s joystick in the body of the camera, or from a recorder supporting UTC communication. Go to SETUP > OUTPUT > ANALOG MODE.
      b. Set the camera’s analog signal output from the following options:

    • HD-A: supports 5MP/1944p @ 20fps 4MP/1440p @ 30fps, 2.1MP/1080p @ 30fps and 720p @ 30fps.

    • HD-T: supports 5MP/1944p @ 20fps, 4MP/1440p @ 30fps, 2.1MP/1080p @ 30fps and 720p @ 30fps.

    • HD-C: supports 4MP/1440p @ 30fps, 2.1MP/1080p @ 30fps and 720p @ 30fps.

    • CVBS: supports up to 960H @ 30fps

    • c. Change CONFIRM to ON to save the changes.

    • d. Go to the EXIT menu and select SAVE&EXIT to save all changes. The camera signal automatically.

NOTE: To use your Star-Light Plus™ 5MP cameras at a lower resolution, you must use a VMAX® A1 Plus™ DVR to access the camera’s menu due to the cameras being set to 5MP as the default. A DVR that does not support 5MP resolution may recognize the camera, but will not deliver a picture

INSTALLING THE CAMERA

  1. Once all cables have been connected, use the screws included with the camera to properly mount and secure the camera to the mounting surface.
  2. Adjust the camera’s pan, tilt and position to achieve the desired view. The cameras’ max angles are:
  3. Pan: 0° ~ 360°
  4. Tilt: 0° ~ 70°
  5. Rotation: 0° ~ 360°
  6. Once the installation is complete, remove the protective film from the camera’s dome cover. To remove it, loosen the screw on the decorative ring and rotate the ring counter-clockwise to remove.
