Whitefurze Water Butt Kit 100L

Product Information

The Whitefurze water butt is a storage container designed to collect and store rainwater for various purposes. It comes in different capacities, including 100L, 150L, 230L, and 250L. The water butt is made of durable plastic and comes with a lid, tap, and diverter kit. The water butt can be used individually or linked together with additional water butts to increase water storage capacity. It is compatible with square downpipes and can be installed near a downpipe to collect rainwater efficiently.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before installing the water butt, ensure you have all the necessary components from the kit and read through the instructions carefully.
  2. Place the three interlocking stand pieces on a level surface and connect the feet together using the plastic link clips provided.
  3. Position the stand within 50cm from the downpipe, ensuring the tap is facing forward.
  4. Screw the tap into the internally threaded hole in the lower half of the water butt, making sure it is closed.
  5. Place the water butt on the stand, securing it in place.
  6. Using a spirit level, measure across from the base of the T-piece to the downpipe and mark the first cutting line.
  7. Cut out the 36mm template provided and place the base against the first cutting line. Mark the second cutting line above the first.
  8. Cut through the downpipe along both cut lines and remove the section.
  9. If you are using the water butt without a diverter (150L & 230L only), cut along pre-marked grooves in the lid and make the necessary connections to guide the downpipe into the butt. If using a diverter, continue with the following steps.
  10. Attach the diverter to the downpipe, loosening the downpipe fixing clips to accommodate the diverter. Retighten the clips once the diverter is in place. If your downpipe does not have fixing clips, additional clips may be required for secure installation.
  11. If you have a square downpipe, cut the diverter lid to shape along the pre-marked grooves.
  12. When using the water butt with a diverter, rainwater will be diverted into the butt until it is full. Excess water will then continue down the pipe and into the drain.

Note: Ensure that the water butt lid is securely fastened to prevent any leaks or spills. Regularly check and maintain the water butt to ensure its proper functioning.
