GENERAL NOTES

  1. The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
  2. Check that the voltage shown on the appliance label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.
  3. Appliance is not intended to operate with an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
  4. Do not use the device outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
  5. Do not place /use the appliance on or near flammable material, an electric burner, a heated oven etc.
  6. Place the appliance on a flat and surface.
  7. Do not move the appliance when it is in operation.
  8. Never operate the appliance without the lid.
  9. Do not use the device with an empty jar.
  10. Do not remove the lid of the appliance when it is in operation.
  11. Only remove the jar from the appliance when the appliance has been switched off and the cutting blades have stopped working.
  12. When cleaning or storing the appliance, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug, not the cable).
  13. If the appliance is not being used for a long time, remove the attached accessories.
  14. Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always unplug the device.
  15. Regularly check the device and cable for signs of damage. Do not continue to operate the device if it is damaged or wet.
  16. In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Do not touch moving parts. Always wait until such parts have come to a complete stop. Do not place your hands into the glass jar during operation of the appliance.

  2. Spoons, dough scrapers or similar objects must not be in the jar during operation. Risk of injury!

  3. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains, before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

  4. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before removing, attaching or changing accessories.

  5. ATTENTION! Never place the cutting blades on the base without the glass jar being properly positioned.

  6. The use of accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer can cause injuries.

  7. Allow the hot ingredients to cool before placing them in the blender and before mixing.

  8. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

  9. This appliance is not to be used by children.
    Keep the appliance and the connecting cable away from children.

  10. Do not operate and do not place the appliance or parts in places with moisture or in places where it may get wet. If the appliance gets wet, unplug the cable immediately before touching the appliance. Risk of electric shock!
    11. Never allow the motor, cable or plug to get wet. Danger of electric shock! Do not use the appliance if it is wet.
    12. Regularly check the appliance and cable for signs of damage. Do not continue to operate the appliance in case of damage.
    13. Do not let the power cord hanging off the edge of a table or bench, or come into contact with hot surfaces.

Parts Identification

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Read all the instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
  2. Remove the appliance from its packaging. Keep away from children.
  3. Before using the appliance for the first time, check that the voltage shown on the device label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.
  4. Clean the motor housing with a sponge or a cloth dampened in warm water.
  5. Clean the glass jar and the blades with warm water and washing up liquid.
  6. Place the hand blender on an even, stable surface at a safe distance away from flammable objects. Keep out of the reach of children.

NOTE: A slight smell may be noticeable when the appliance is used for the first time. This is normal and will disappear after a short while.

ASSEMBLY/ DISASSEMBLY

When attaching accessories there is the risk of pinching your fingers. Please be especially careful.

  1. Place the blade base unit on the bottom of the jar and rotate it counterclockwise until it locks in place and secures. The glass jar and blade base unit must be well connected. To remove it, turn the blade base unit clockwise and then pull down slightly.
  2. Place the detachable lid with the refill opening on the glass jar.
  3. Place the detachable lid cover on the opening of the lid and turn it clockwise until it locks.
  4. Place the jar on the motor unit. There are three predefined mounting locations available with notches specially designed for placing the jar for le~-handed / right-handed.

USING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Put the ingredients into the glass jar.

  2. Fit the detachable lid cover with refill opening onto the glass jar. Be sure that the sealing ring is correctly fitted, otherwise leaking may occur.

  3. Place the detachable lid cover on the opening of the lid and turn it clockwise until it locks.

  4. Place the glass jar on the motor housing (6)

  5. Connect the blender to a properly installed and grounded outlet.
    NOTE: Do not use the appliance if the jar is not fitted correctly.

  6. Select the desired operating speed by turning the rotary speed selector switch (7) to the desired position. The blender has the following operating
    • speeds: pulse function (P)
    • 1 to 5 operating speeds
    NOTE: Turn the rotary switch (7) counterclockwise to “P” and hold to activate the pulse mode for immediate and fast use at maximum speed.

  7. When mixing is finished, turn the rotary speed switch to the “O” position and disconnect.

  8. Remove the glass jar from the base of the device and empty the contents.

NOTE: Always turn off the appliance before removing the jar.

WARNING:

  • Chop up large pieces of solid food before blending and add a little liquid.
  • The appliance should not be used for more than 1 minute. Leave the appliance to cooldown for at least 5 minutes before using again.
  • When you switch the appliance off, always wait until the blades comes to a complete standstill.

CLEANING

  1. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
  2. Clean the motor housing with a sponge or a cloth dampened in warm water.
  3. Clean the glass jar and the blades with warm water and washing up liquid.
  4. The appliance should not be immersed in water for cleaning.
  5. Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.

STORAGE

  1. Always unplug the appliance before storing it.
  2. Always make sure that the hand blender is cool and dry before storing it.
  3. Always store the appliance out of the reach of children.
  4.  Always store the device in a safe and clean place. For the better protection of the appliance, store it in its original packaging.
