Product Information
The product being referred to in the user manual is the Elevation Keypad / Wall Switch Retrofit. It is a component of the Elevation system, which includes a wall switch and various cables for installation.
The Elevation system operates using a Cat 6 / Cat 5e Twisted Pair network cable. It requires a 120 Ohm terminal resistor to be placed at each end of the network. The system can be integrated with a Rain Sensor, which automatically closes all windows when activated. The Rain Sensor can be overridden when wet and will reset once dried. The maximum current for the Rain Sensor is 250mA.
The Elevation system also supports the use of keypads, with a maximum of 2 keypads allowed per network. Each keypad requires a maximum current of 100mA.
The user manual also provides information about the compatibility and installation of the Aeron Actuator, which is a new system that can replace the Elevation actuator unit. The Aeron Actuator requires a 24V DC transformer for power and cannot use the Elevation wall switch or keypad setup.
Wiring circuit guide:
- 24V DC transformer must be used to power Aeron Actuator
- Existing Elevation 24V DC transformer can be retained to power up Aeron Actuator. Extend power cables if required
- Turn off the system power
- Disconnect the Network and power supply cables from Elevation actuator unit which needs to be replaced
- Install Aeron Actuator using existing power supply
- Elevation network adaptor won’t work with Aeron system. New Aeron rain sensor network adaptor required. Use existing Power supply and rain sensor unit
- Determine Elevation chain opening length
Mechanical Installation:
- Remove Elevation sash bracket from the window
- Remove pivot brackets and fixing screws. Detach Elevation unit from the window sill
- Follow Aeron Window Actuator installation instruction on how to install Aeron Actuator
- Once Aeron Actuator is installed, restrict its opening length to match Elevation as closely as possible
- Connect/setup wireless hub with Aeron Actuators using Remote or Yale Home app. Refer quick start guide
Note:
- Aeron Actuator cannot use Elevation wall switch or Keypad setup
- Aeron system must be connected with the hub to use wireless remote or Yale Home App
- When replacing one Elevation actuator unit from group of actuators, manually remove actuator from the touch screen keypad zones
- For Elevation wall switch setup, just remove the network data cable
- Existing screw holes may need to be filled and new holes needs to be drilled
- While drilling new holes take extreme care to avoid drilling into the glazing/glass
