Product Information

The product is a foot warmer with the model name AHB 5000 or ABH 5000. It comes with general safety instructions and functioning details. The foot warmer has temperature levels and an auto power-off feature.

General Safety Instructions

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.
  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
  4. WARNING : In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene, etc.) out of their reach.
  5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent, in order to avoid hazards.
  6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
  7. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.
  8. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
  9. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  10. Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before cleaning.
  11. This appliance must be installed following the national regulations for electrical installations.
  12. This appliance is for household use only.

Functioning
The electric boot may smell plastic during the first use but it will disappear after a short period of time.

ON/OFF
To use the appliance, plug the remote into a power outlet.

  • On: Select the highest temperature level (level 3) a short time before use, so the pad will heat up faster. Select a temperature level from 1 to 3 on the control. If you are going to use the pad for a long time, select a medium temperature (level 2).
  • Off: Select level 0 on the remote to turn off the heating pad and unplug it from the power outlet.

Temperature Levels

  • Level 0: off.
  • Level 1: minimal heat.
  • Level 2: medium heat.
  • Level 3: Maximum heat.

Auto Power Off
The heating pad automatically turns off after 90 minutes. To use the pad again, first select position 0 on the knob and after approximately 5 seconds choose the desired level to turn the pad back on. If you do not want to continue using the pad after the automatic shutdown, select level 0 on the remote and unplug it from the power outlet.

  • If you are going to use the appliance during continuous or prolonged operation, the power switch must be placed in position 1 (minimum heat).
  • Do not fall asleep during the operation of the appliance.
  • When you are not using the appliance, store it as follows: unplug it, wait for it to cool down. Do not place objects on top when the appliance is stored. Store it in a dry place.
  • Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If such signs exist or if the appliance has been misused or does not work, return it to the dealer before reconnecting it.
  • This device is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
  • Do not use if wet.
  • This appliance should not be used by persons insensitive to heat or other highly vulnerable persons who are incapable of reacting to overheating.
  • Children under three years of age should not use this appliance due to their inability to react to overheating.
  • The appliance is not to be used by children unless the controls have been preset by a parent or guardian, or unless the child has been adequately instructed in how to use the controls safely.
  • The device must only be used with its control unit supplied with the reference AHB 5000.
  • Do not use the product to heat animals.
  • Use the product without folding and avoid ironing folds.
  • The boot can be washed, provided you have unplugged the remote.
  • Do not use the product in a humid state or in rooms with a high degree of humidity, such as bathrooms.
  • To put it into operation, place the regulator in the maximum position for 20 minutes to obtain a quick heating, and then go to the low position. The maximum heat position will only be used for rapid heating and never more than 20 minutes.
  • Do not bend the power cord or use your pad when the power cord is bent, coiled, or folded.
  • Use on top of clothing.
  • Do not cut or pierce the heated pad. Do not poke holes in it with pins or other blunt objects, do not disassemble it.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • Always use the electric boot with the inner cover to avoid getting dirty or damaging the appliance.
    Cleaning : The inner lining of the boot is washable. The washing method is specific, consult the label that it incorporates.

  • Check your boot from time to time to check that the flexible lacing does not show signs of wear and that the control is not damaged. If you find any damage, do not use the boot anymore and take it to the technical service.

STORAGE
Wait for the electric boot to cool down before storing it, otherwise damage to the appliance may occur. To prevent the boot from getting damaged, do not leave other objects on top of it when you store it. If you are not going to use the electric boot for a long time, store it in its original packaging, in a dry place with no heavy objects on it.
