Product Introduction

ORICO TB3-S2 expands a Thunderbolt 3 interface DP interface 1.4 x 1 for your PC through Thunderbolt 3 interface. USB3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps Ax 1. USB3.1 Gen 1 5Gbps A x 2. USB3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps Type- C x 1. 10/100/ 1000M LAN x 1. Headphone output/microphone combo socket x 1. To meet the daily audio and data transmission needs of PCs, the shell adopts all-metal design, anodized, simple and stable structure with strong heat dissipation function.

Product Features

1. Defining high-performance expansion, RJ45 port, Thunderbolt 3 interface, USB3.0/3.1 data interface, DP interface, data transmission, network access and charging protocol are all high-performance standards.
2. The Thunderbolt 3 interface has a theoretical rate of 40 Gbps and can be cascaded down to a 5-layer Thunderbolt 3 device. Charge your laptop up to 60W. The Type-C interface supports a theoretical rate of 10 Gbps.
3. DP interface support to 8K@60Hz resolution.
4. USB3.0 port support to 5Gbps transmission rate.
5. LAN port support to 10/100/1000Mbps adaptive network bandwidth
6. Built-in 2 M.2 SSD drive slots, supporting M.2 SSD with NVMe and SATA protocol.

Attention

1. Thunderbolt 3 interface can backward compatible with Type-C interface, and able to connect with Type-C interface devices, but the speed will be limited without Thunderbolt 3 protocol.
2. The TB3-S2 docking station can only provide high-speed performance when the Thunderbolt 3 protocol is on the devices. Performance is limited to the performance of the device itself when without Thunderbolt 3 protocol.
3. The aluminum alloy casing has good heat dissipation performance, and it is normal for the casing temperature to be high during use, indicating that heat has been dissipated to the surface of the casing.
4. Because there are cooling holes on both sides of the product, try to avoid using it in a dusty environment. Please store it when not in use for a long time.
5. Manually eject the device before unplugging the dock or unplugging the device inserted in the dock to avoid possible data damage.
6. Under Windows systems, it needs to manually select the connecting device for the first time connection, otherwise, it cannot be used normally. As shown below:
   Step: Right-click the Thunderbolt icon in the lower right corner and select the approved connected device.
   Step2: Choose”always connected” then click “OK”
   

installation Guide

Supports NVMe, SATA protocol M.2 SSD, The installation diagram is as follows (SSD needs to be purchased separately)

1. Unscrew the enclosure with the screwdriver.
   

2. Open the lid.
   

3. Insert the M.2 SW into the M.2 interface (the drive slots on the left support SATA protocol SSD, and the drive slots on the right supports NVMe protocol SSD ).

4. Stick the silicone thermal pad on the top of the SSD
   

5. Put back the lid, Fix the screw, then the installation is completed.

1. Please do not hit, throw, or puncture the product, and avoid dropping, squeezing, or bending.
2. Please do not use or store this product in a humid environment and avoid being wetted or rinsed with liquids.
3. Please do not use the product in a hot, high-dust environment, and keep it away from fire.
4. Please do not expose this product to the sun.
5. Please do not place this product in a corrosive environment. Do not use other chemical solutions to clean the product.
6. Please do not place the product or accessories in appliances with strong electromagnetic fields and away from magnetic equipment.
7. Please keep the product and accessories away from children. Do not allow children to use the product without supervision
8. If you need a product with a power adapter, please use the power adapter specified by our company.
9. Please do not disassemble and repair the product or accessories without the authorization of ORICO.
