Product Information

The Qolsys IQ4 Hub is a versatile device that offers several connectivity options for various applications. It features the Quectel Wireless module Model SC650T-NA, which provides cellular connections (E-UTRA-FDD) on Bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 25, 26, and 66. The module also incorporates Wi-Fi 2.4 / 5 GHz and Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2 support. The Qolsys IQ4 Hub includes a Zwave Daughtercard with an EFR32ZG14 modem for air connection to compatible Z-wave Devices at frequencies of 908.4, 908.42, and 916 MHz for the North American market.

The device comes with embedded antennas for cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Z-Wave connectivity. These antennas are not removable and should not be modified. The product is compliant with FCC regulations (FCCID: XMR2019SC650TNA) and Industry Canada standards (IC: 11205A-QSIQP4Z).

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Installation: Place the Qolsys IQ4 Hub in a suitable location where it can receive cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth signals effectively. Ensure a minimum distance of 27 cm between the device’s radiator and your body to comply with radiation exposure limits.
  2. Connections: The module has three 8-pin receptacle interfaces for connecting other modules such as PowerG, Zigbee, and other Security Radios. One slot is reserved for Z-Wave functionality, leaving two additional slots available for optional modules. These additional modules will provide their own antennas and FCC licenses.
  3. Z-Wave Operation: The built-in Z-Wave operates at frequencies of 908.4, 908.42, 916, 919.8, and 921.4 MHz with an output power of up to 2.8 dBm. For detailed data and protocol specifications, please contact Qolsys for technical information.
  4. Compliance: The Qolsys IQ4 Hub complies with FCC regulations (FCCID: 2AAJXQS-IQP4Z) and Industry Canada standards (IC: 11205A-QSIQP4Z). It must not cause harmful interference and must accept any interference received.

General Applications

The Qolsys IQ4 Hub features the Quectel Wireless module Model SC650T-NA with FCC ID: XMR2019SC650TNA providing cellular connections (E-UTRA-FDD) Bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 25, 26 and 66. The Quectel module incorporates also provides WiFI 2.4 / 5 GHz and Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2 support. A main antenna and Diversity antenna are embedded on the Qolsys MB to support these features. Additionally the Qolsys IQ4 Hub includes a Zwave Daughtercard with EFR32ZG14 modem for air connection to compatible Z-wave Devices at the 908.4, 908.42 and 916 MHz for North America Market and includes an embedded Antenna. These antennas are not removable and are not designed to be modified.

Installation and Operation

The module has three simple 8 pin receptacle interface for connections to other modules such as PowerG, Zigbee and other Security Radios. One slot is used for Zwave, resulting in only two additional available slots. These additional modules are optional and will provide their own Antennas and FCC Licenses.

The built in Z-Wave operates at 908.4, 908.42, 916, 919.8 and 921.4 MHz with an output power up to -2.8 dBm. Data and protocol specifications are beyond the scope of this document. Please contact Qolsys for the technical specifications.
