Foras PLUS+VSD Residential Multistage Pumps

Product Information

The BOOSTERSET PLUS+VSD is a line of constant pressure boosterset units that come with either 1 pump (PLUS+VSD), 2 pumps (2 PLUS+VSD), or 3 pumps (3 PLUS+VSD) controlled by a variable speed drive VSD (EPIC/IPFC). The units are composed of horizontal or vertical monobloc electric pumps, steel suction and delivery manifolds, coupling sleeves for membrane vessels on the delivery side, and a base group and support for the control panel in painted or galvanized steel. Each electric pump is equipped with a check valve on the suction side and ball valves with pipe unions on the suction and delivery sides. The units also include a pressure gaugewith radial connection, one or more VSD with set parameters according to the connected pump, and a pressure sensor connected to the output manifold and electrically connected to the VSD. On request, membrane surge tanks and shut-off valves can be provided.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the BOOSTERSET PLUS+VSD unit is installed in a suitable location with proper electrical connections.
  2. Connect the suction and delivery manifolds to the corresponding water supply and distribution systems.
  3. Make sure that the check valves are properly installed on the suction side of each electric pump.
  4. Connect the ball valves with pipe unions to the suction and delivery sides of each electric pump.
  5. Connect the pressure gauge to the radial connection on the unit.
  6. If required, install membrane surge tanks and shut-off valves according to your specific needs.
  7. Switch on the control box using the main switches for each pumping unit.
  8. Adjust the parameters on the VSD according to the connected pump.
  9. Monitor the pressure sensor connected to the output manifold to ensure proper pressure control.
  10. Regularly check and maintain the BOOSTERSET PLUS+VSD unit as per the user manual guidelines.

Line of constant pressure boosterset with 1 pump (PLUS+VSD), 2 pumps (2 PLUS+VSD)or 3 pumps (3 PLUS+VSD) controlled by variable speed drive VSD (EPIC/IPFC).
COMPOSITION OF PRESSURIZATION UNITS

  • Horizontal or vertical monobloc electric pumps.
  • Steel suction and delivery manifolds, threaded and galvanized, with coupling sleeves for membrane vessels on delivery side.
  • Unit base and support for control panel in painted or galvanized steel.
  • One check valve for each electric pump, installed on suction side.
  • Ball valves with pipe union installed on suction side and delivery side of each electric pump.
  • Pressure gauge with radial connection.
  • One or more VSD with set parameters in accordance to the connected pump.
  • Pressure sensor connected on the output manifold and electrically connected to VSD.
  • On request: membrane surge tanks, shut-off valves.

CONTROL BOX

  • Control box with main switches (one for each pumping unit) to switch off the system, in ABS and IP55 insulation grade.
  • One or more VSD directly mounted on board of the pumps with pre-set parameters in accordance to the connected pump; available  solution with EPIC VSD (for pumps up to 2kW with single phase input voltage) or with IPFC VSD (different solution with single phase input voltage up to 3 kW and with three phase input voltage up to 45 kW.   • IPFC VSD are equipped with Bluetooth module in position to be connected to an App for mobile transmitting the working data of the group , these can be changed and charges again on the booster for a better set up of the parameters.
