The operating manual is intended to help the user to become familiar with the machine and take advantage of its application possibilities in accordance with the recommendations.
The operating manual includes important instructions for safe, proper and economic operation of the device, for avoiding danger, for minimising repair costs and downtimes, and for increasing the reliability and extending the service life of the device.
In addition to the safety instructions in this operating manual, you must also observe the regulations applicable to the operation of the device in your country. Keep the operating manual package with the machine at all times and store it in a plastic cover to protect it from dirt and moisture. They must be read and carefully observed by all operating personnel before starting the work.
The device may only be used by personnel who have been trained to use it and who have been instructed with respect to the associated hazards. The required minimum age must be observed.
In addition to the safety instructions in this operating manual and the separate regulations of your country, the generally recognised technical rules relating to the operation of such machines must also be observed. We accept no liability for accidents or damage that occur due to a failure to observe this manual and the safety instructions.

Proper use

Use the device to heat surfaces in covered and uncovered outdoor areas.
The device is designed for private use and is unsuitable for commercial use.
The device is intended exclusively for floor installation. Intended use includes the heating of surfaces:

  • in storage rooms
  • in construction site rooms
  • in containers
  • in the catering trade
  • at trade fairs and events
  • in covered outdoor areas (e.g. covered terraces)

Safety information

Please read the operating manual before using the heater. Store this operating manual in a safe place for future reference.

  1. When using electrical devices, basic precautionary measures must always be observed. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electric shock or other injury or property damage.
  2. ATTENTION – SOME PARTS OF THE HEATER WILL BE VERY HOT, DO NOT TOUCH THE HEATER WHEN IT IS IN OPERATION.
  3. Do not fit or place the device directly under a power socket.
  4. The protective grid of this heater is intended to prevent direct contact with heating elements and must be in place when the heater is in operation. The protective grid does not provide complete protection for small children or infirm persons.
  5. To avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
  6. This heater is not equipped with a device for controlling the room temperature.
  7. Do not use this heater in small rooms if there are people in the room who are not able to leave the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
  8. Children under 3 years of age must not approach the product unless they are under constant supervision. Children between the ages of 3 and 8 may only switch the device on or off if it has been installed and positioned in accordance with the usual instructions for use and they have been supervised and adequately instructed in its correct and safe use and have understood the possible dangers. Children between 3 and 8 years of age must not connect, adjust, clean or perform maintenance operations on the product. ATTENTION: Some parts of the device can become very hot and cause burns. Take special care in the presence of children or vulnerable persons.
  9. This device can be used by children aged from eight to 8 years and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and / or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning using the device in a safe manner and understand the hazards involved. Children may not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
  10. Remove the product from the packaging and make sure that it is in proper condition.
  11. DO NOT ALLOW children to play with the packaging, for example plastic bags.
  12. Before connecting to the mains socket, check that the voltage and frequency of your device match the values of your mains current.
  13. This heater gets hot when it is in operation. To avoid burns, DO NOT TOUCH the grids or heating elements during use, also do not attempt to move the heater.
  14. DO NOT touch the device with wet hands.
  15. DO NOT operate heaters with a damaged mains cable or plug, or after the device has malfunc- tioned, been dropped or damaged. Take the heater to an approved service centre for inspection and repair.
  16. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust electrical or mechanical functions as this may invalidate the warranty.
  17. DO NOT insert or allow anything to touch the heater and never place anything on the protective device (e.g. towels) as this could damage the heater and result in electric shock or fire. Never use your heater to dry laundry.
  18. If the heating element is no longer glowing, it may still be carrying power, please check that the heat setting indicates that the heater is switched off. Always disconnect your device from the mains before carrying out cleaning work on it or replacing tubes.
  19. Do not use the heater in places where petrol, varnish or other flammable materials are stored.
  20. Always disconnect the heater from the mains when it is not in use. To disconnect the power supply, grasp the plug and pull it out of the socket. Never pull on the cable.
  21. Never point the heater at curtains, drapes, furniture or other flammable objects and make sure that a minimum distance is maintained from nearby objects.
  22. Never use this heater in conjunction with a timer circuit or any other fixture that allows it to be switched on unattended.
  23. Do not pull on the power cable or the device itself to disconnect it from the socket. Pull directly on the plug.
  24. Do not allow children or incompetent persons to use the device unsupervised.
  25. The power cable must be completely unwound before use.
  26. If the device will not be used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the power supply.
  27. Do not use the heater in the immediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers, washbasins or swimming pools.
  28. This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
  29. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
  30. This heater must be placed on a horizontal level floor.
  31. If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, their service department or a similarly qualified person to avoid dangers.
  32. Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer switch, separate remote control system or any other device that automatically turns the heater on, as there is a risk of fire if the heater is covered or incorrectly positioned.
  33. To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the device, cable or plug in water or other liquids.

ATTENTION!
This power tool generates an electromagnetic field during operation. This field can impair active or passive medical implants under certain conditions. In order to prevent the risk of serious or deadly injuries, we recommend that persons with medical implants consult with their physician and the manufacturer of the medical implant prior to operating the machine.

Before commissioning

  • Open the packaging and carefully remove the device.
  • Remove the packaging material, as well as the packaging and transport safety devices (if present).
  • Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
  • Check the device and accessory parts for transport damage.
  • If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the warranty period.

ATTENTION
The device and the packaging are not children‘s toys! Do not let children play with plastic bags, films or small parts! There is a danger of choking or suffocating!

  • Before connecting the machine, make certain that the data on the type plate matches with the mains power data.
  • Check the device for transport damage. Immediately report any damage to the transport company that delivered the device.
  • Long supply cables (extension cable) should be avoided.
  • Do not operate the device in damp or wet areas.

Assembly

Attention!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled before commissioning!
Before connecting the machine to the mains power, make certain that the data on the type plate matches with the mains power data.
Warning!
Always pull out the mains plug before carrying out adjustments on the device.
Installing the rollers and feet (Fig. 2)

  1. Fix the rollers (11) with 4 screws M4x10 (6) on the underside of the base plate (5).
  2. Slide the foot sleeves (12) over the feet (13) and screw them into the base plate (5)

Installing the brackets (Fig. 3)

  1. Fix the brackets (3) to the base plate (5) with the hexagonal bolts M6x50 (9).
  2. Slide the cover base plate (4) over the two brackets (3).

Installation of the radiator (Fig. 4)

  1. Place the radiator (1) on the two brackets (3) and secure it with 2 screws M4x10 (6).
  2. Guide the connection cable through the opening in the base plate (5).

Installation of the fascia boards (Fig. 5/6)

  1. Slide the cover base plate (4) upwards and push the fascia board (2) on both sides between the brackets (3).
  2. Lower the base plate cover (4) again.
  3. Secure the base plate cover (4) to the underside of the base plate (5) with the washers (7) and the screws ST3,5×16 (8).

Setup and operation

Attention!
Remove the transport retainers before using the device (Fig. 7)
Setting up

  • The minimum distances (at top: 60 cm, at the side: 150 cm) must always be observed, regardless of whether the heating boom is in a horizontal or vertical position. The distance must be measured from the surrounding objects to the nearest point of the heater.
  • Always keep flammable material away from the heater.
  • Do not twist or kink the power cable.
  • This heater has IP34 class protection and is suitable for outdoor use. If you need an extension cable, the cable and plug system must be waterproof.
  • Never operate the on/off switch with wet hands.

Attention! The heater has an anti-tilt protection. If the heater tilts or falls over, it switches off automatically.
Operation (Fig. 8)
Settings on the heater can be made via the control panel on the device or using the remote control.

Note: When the heating bracket is folded in, only the upper LED lamp lights up. When unfolded, both LEDs light up.
D| | Digital display: Display of the heating stage of the running heating element. Always shows the heating stage of the upper element when it is in operation.

  1. Connect the mains plug and it will sound a control tone. The heater is in “Standby” mode, the On / Off symbol (A) lights up green.
  2. Press the “A” button on the remote control or on the control panel. The light turns red and the heater changes into operation. The heating tube and LED light are preset to stage
  3. (The heater has a memory function and runs in the last selected setting). 3 Press the “B” or “C” button and the corresponding heating tube or light and the digital display flash up for 5 seconds; press the same button to adjust the heater or light while the power setting is shown on the display “D”. After 5 seconds, the flashing stops and the setting is completed.
  4. Switch off the heating tube and the light by pressing the “A” button. The heater now changes into “Standby” mode.

Warning! Always disconnect the heater from the mains when it is not in use.
Folding out the heating boom (Fig 9, 10, 11)
The heating boom works in a vertical or horizontal position.
Open the heating boom according to the following instructions and close it in reverse order.

  1. Unlock the heating boom (B) by pressing the two releases (A) inwards at the same time.
  2. Fold the heating boom (B) upwards and hook the securing bracket (C) into the recess (D).

Electrical connection:

  • The product fulfils the requirements of EN 61000-311 and may only be used at the following connection points: This means that use of the product at any freely selectable connection points is not allowed.
  • Given unfavourable conditions in the power supply the product can cause the voltage to fluctuate temporarily.
  • The product is intended exclusively for use at connection points that do not exceed a maximum permitted mains impedance “Z” (Zmax = 0.017 Ω), or
  • As the user, you are required to ensure, in consultation with your electric power company if necessary, that the connection point at which you wish to oper- ate the product meets one of the two requirements, a) or b), named above.

Transport

Attention! Tipping hazard! Only transport the heater when it is folded up!
Warning! Always unplug the mains plug from the mains before moving the heater.
For transport, tilt the device so that it can be moved with the aid of the rollers (11). (Fig. 12)

Cleaning and maintenance

Warning!
Pull out the mains plug before carrying out any adjustments, maintenance or repair work!
This heater contains no moving parts; it requires very little maintenance.
However, if a lot of dirt accumulates on the heater, use a damp cloth to wipe it off.
WARNING NOTICE: Before cleaning, disconnect the device from the power supply and wait a few minutes until it has cooled down.

Please note that the following parts of this product are subject to normal or natural wear and tear, and are therefore also required as consumables.

Storage

Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry and frost-free place that is inaccessible to children. The optimum storage temperature lies between 5 and 30 °C. Store the device in its original packaging. Cover the device to protect it from dust or moisture. Store the operating manual with the device.

Disposal and recycling

The device is supplied in packaging to avoid transport damages. This packaging is raw material and can thus be used again or can be reintegrated into the raw material cycle.
The device and its accessories are made of different materials, such as metals and plastics. Take defective components to special waste disposal sites. Check with your specialist dealer or municipal administration!
The packaging is wholly composed of environmentally-friendly materials that can be disposed of at a local recycling centre.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out electrical devices.
Old devices must not be disposed of with household waste!
This symbol indicates that this product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste in compliance with the Directive (2012/19/EU) pertaining to waste electrical and electronic equip- ment (WEEE). This product must be handed over at the intended collection point. This can be done, for example, by returning it when purchasing a similar product or delivering it to an authorised collection point for the recycling of old electrical and electronic devices. Improper handling of waste equipment may have negative consequences for the environment and human health due to potentially hazardous substances that are often contained in electrical and electronic equipment. By properly disposing of this product, you are also contributing to the effective use of natural resources. Apparent defects must be notified within 8 days from the receipt of the goods. Otherwise, the buyerís rights of claim due to such defects are invalidated. We guarantee for our machines in case of proper treatment for the time of the statutory warranty period from delivery in such a way that we replace any machine part free of charge which provably becomes unusable due to faulty material or defects of fabrication within such period of time.
