JOLIN GOBLET VCF Full Diy Kit
Product Information
The GOBLET is a product that requires assembly. It is a circuit board with
various components that need to be soldered onto the board. Most of the
components are already pre-soldered, but there are through hole ones (THT)
that need to be soldered by the user. The product includes optocouplers,
momentary switch, faders, jack sockets, potentiometers, caps, and knobs.
It is important to be careful when soldering the THT components to avoid
touching the SMD components and potentially losing them. The user manual
provides detailed instructions on how to assemble the product.
Product Usage Instructions
- Soldering Iron – It is recommended to use a soldering iron with temperature control.
- Solder wire – Prepare solder wire for soldering the components.
- Multimeter (optional) – A multimeter can be used for checking the components on the board.
- Solder sucker / wick (optional) – Optional tools for removing excess solder.
- Silicone soldering mat (optional) – Optional mat for protecting the work surface.
- Helping hands (optional) – Optional tool for holding components in place during soldering.
- Flux (optional) – Optional flux for improved soldering.
- Cutter (optional) – Optional cutter for trimming component leads.
To assist in locating components on the board, an interactive bill of
materials (.html ibom file) is available for download. It can be opened with a
browser and used offline. The bill of materials provides information on
component locations.
Follow the step-by-step instructions below to assemble the GOBLET:
Optocouplers
Straighten the optocouplers as shown in the pictures. Cut the leads in
half. Solder the optocouplers on the back of the board, matching the dot on
top of them with the thick white line on the PCB.
Momentary Switch, Faders, Jack Sockets
Place the momentary switch, two faders, and jack sockets in their
designated places on the board. Ensure they are aligned correctly with the
board and then proceed to solder them.

- RV1, RV2
- J2, J4, J5, J6, J7, J8
Potentiometers
Place the three potentiometers in their designated holes on the PCB. To
ensure alignment, solder just one of the pins first. Then, make sure the body
of each potentiometer is aligned with the PCB before soldering the remaining
pins.
- RV3, RV4, RV5
Caps and Knobs
Fit the two caps onto the faders and the three knobs onto the potentiometers’
shafts.
Check if everything is in place and properly soldered. Once completed, enjoy
your new GOBLET!

- A tool that can help you checking the components on the board is the interactive bill of materials.
- Download the .html ibom file and open it with a browser. You can use it to check where a component is located on the board.
- Once downloaded it works also offline.
- Here are listed all the GOBLET components, most of them are already pre-soldered on the board.
- We just need to solder the through hole ones (THT).
- BE CAREFULL NOT TO TOUCH THE SMD COMPONENTS WHILE SOLDERING THE THT ONES.
- It’s really easy to lose a tiny resistor or capacitor. Be careful when soldering parts that are close to others already in place.

Place the momentary switch, the two faders and the jack sockets in place. Check if they are aligned with the board and then proceed soldering them.
Potentiometers
Place the 3 potentiometers matching the holes on the PCB. To make sure that they are aligned with the board, solder at first just one of the pins. Then be sure that the body of the potentiometer is aligned with the PCB and proceed soldering.
