Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the appliance for possible transport damage to avoid hazards. Do not operate a damaged appliance.Return it to the dealer immediately.
- There may still be dust or production residues on the appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance as described under “Cleaning”.
Warnings for the Use of the Appliance
WARNING : Risk of Burns!
- Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
- Always make sure that the lid is firmly closed.
- The appliance housing becomes hot during operation, do not touch it and allow the appliance to cool down before putting it away.
CAUTION : Overload!
- If you use extension cables, they should have a cable cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
- Do not use a multiple socket as this appliance is too powerful
CAUTION:
- Always switch off the appliance before removing it from the base! The contacts on the base are not suitable for disconnecting the power supply.
- Make sure that the appliance is switched off when you put it back on the base!
Notes for Use
Mains Cable
Unwind the required mains cable completely from the base part of the base. Please pay attention to the routing of the main cable.
Connected Load
In total, the appliance can handle a power of 2200 W. With this connected load, a separate supply line with a fuse protection via a 16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.
Electrical Connection
- Check that the mains voltage you want to use matches that of the appliance. You will find the information on the type plate.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly installed protective contact socket.
Switching the Appliance On / Off
- Switch on:
- Switch on the appliance with the switch. The control lamp lights up.
- Switching off:
- Switch off the appliance with the switch. The control lamp goes out.
Preparation
Before using the appliance for the first time, boil it 3 times with fresh water. Use only clear water without additives.
Operation
- Place the appliance on a flat surface.
- Open the kettle using the recessed handle in the lid.
- Fill in clear water through the filler opening (maximum 1.7 litres). You can read the fill level on the appliance’s water level indicator.
- Always use fresh, cold water.
- The water level must be between the MIN and MAX marks.
- Close the lid. Always make sure that the lid is firmly closed.
- Place the kettle flush on the base.
- Switch on the appliance with the switch. The control lamp lights up.
Interrupting / Ending Operation
There are two ways to interrupt or end the cooking process:
- The appliance switches off automatically after the cooking process. The control lamp goes out.
- Press the switch upwards to stop the cooking process.
- Always switch off the appliance before removing it from the base! The contacts on the base are not suitable for disconnecting the power supply
- Make sure that the appliance is switched off when you put it back on the base!
- Unplug the mains plug from the socket.
- Empty the water container.
- Only hold the appliance by the handle.
- Keep the lid closed when pouring out.
- Open and close the lid only with the recessed handle in the lid.
- If the appliance becomes hot during operation, do not touch it and allow the appliance to cool down before putting it away.
Cleaning
WARNING :
- Always switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the socket before cleaning. Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Do not immerse the appliance or the base in water or other liquids. It could cause an electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Rinse the water reservoir with clean water. Dry it with a cloth.
- Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth after use.
Filter
A permanent filter is located at the spout opening. To clean the filter, push
it a little towards the spout and pull it out at the same time.
- Rinse it under running water. You can use a nylon brush to help.
- Replace the filter. When doing so, pay attention to the guide inside the water kettle. The filter must audibly click into place in the holder.
Descaling
- The intervals for descaling depend on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
- If the appliance switches off before the water boils, descaling is necessary.
- Do not use vinegar, but a commercially available descaling agent based on citric acid. Dose according to the instructions.
- After descaling, boil fresh water several times (approx. 3 to 4 times) to remove residues. Do not use this water for consumption.
Storage
- Clean the appliance as described and allow it to dry completely.
- We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a long period of time.

Troubleshooting
