Place the appliance on a smooth, horizontal and stable surface. Avoid carpets in order to prevent failure of the safety switch.

NOTE:
The appliance turns on automatically once back in an upright position.

Connected Load

The appliance supports a power input of 2000W.

CAUTION: Overload

  • When using an extension cord, it must have a cable cross-section of at least 1.5mm².
  • Do not use a multiple socket as this appliance is too powerful.
  • Do not connect any other powerful devices to the same electric circuit.

Operation

Electric Connection
  1. Make sure the voltage of the appliance (see rating label) matches the mains voltage to be used.
  2. Set the function control knob to 0.
  3. Unwind the mains cable completely.
  4. Only connect the mains plug with a properly installed earthed socket.
Setting the Temperature

The thermostat constantly switches the fan heater on and off, thereby keeping the temperature at the desired level. Set the desired temperature as followed:

  1. Set the temperature control to its highest setting.

  2. Once the desired temperature has been reached, slowly turn the temperature control back, until the fan heater switches off audibly. The indicator lamp turns off.
    NOTE:
The audible position of the temperature control depends on the ambient temperature.

  3. The fan heater will then keep the desired temperature level.

CAUTION:

When not using the appliance, disconnect the mains plug.

Oscillation

To achieve even heating or ventilation, the appliance is additionally equipped with an oscillation function.

There is a switch on the back of the appliance to switch the oscillation mode on or off.

0 = Oscillation switched off
I = Oscillation switched on

CAUTION:

Never adjust the swivel mechanism with your hand. The mechanism could be damaged.

Fan Operation

If you want to use the appliance as a fan, turn the function control knob to the fan icon and turn the temperature control to highest position.

End Operation

If you want to end the operation, set the function control knob to the position 0. The indicator lamp turns off. Then disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

The appliance features an overheat protection mechanism causing the appliance to switch off automatically in case of overheating.

  1. Set the function control knob to position 0 and pull the mains plug out of the socket.
  2. Let the appliance cool down for approx. 10 minutes before using it again.

NOTE:

If the overheat protection mechanism causes the appliance to switch off again after a short period, this might indicate a defect.

  1. Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains.
  2. Have the appliance checked by your dealer or our customer service.
