Product Information

The product is an oven with the model number 11328260-08.

The oven can be installed in either a tall unit or a base unit. When installing it underneath a hob in a base unit, please refer to the installation instructions for the hob as well as the required building-in depth for the hob. The HAL 90 trim, available as an optional accessory, is only necessary when building the oven into a base unit.

It is important to ensure that the oven is fully installed before use for safety reasons. The oven requires a sufficient supply of cool air for efficient operation and should not be exposed to excessive heat from other sources.

When installing the oven, make sure that the shelf it sits on does not touch the wall. Do not fit heat insulation strips to the side walls of the housing unit. Connect the oven to the electrical supply using the provided screws to secure it to the side walls of the housing unit.

The oven comes with an approximately 2.0 m long cable for connection to the mains electricity supply. It must be connected according to the provided wiring diagram. The maximum rated load can be found on the data plate. Ensure that the oven is connected only to a power supply system that meets the requirement of a maximum external phase neutral loop impedance Zmax of 0.42 Ohms at the point of distributor supply connection. If unsure, consult your electrical distributor for the actual impedance value.

Product Usage Instructions

Installing the oven

For safety reasons, the oven may only be used when it has been fully installed.
The oven requires a sufficient supply of cool air for efficient operation. The required supply of cool air must not be excessively heated by other heat sources (e.g. solid fuel stoves).
The following must be observed when installing the appliance:
Make sure that the shelf that the oven sits on does not touch the wall.
Do not fit heat insulation strips to the side walls of the housing unit.

Connect the oven to the electrical supply
Carrying the oven by the door handle could damage the door.
It is a good idea to remove the door (see “Cleaning and care” – “Removing the door”) and the accessories before installing the appliance. This makes the oven lighter when you push it into the housing unit and you do not run the risk of lifting it by the door handle by mistake.

  • Remove the carrying handles.

  • Push the oven into the housing unit and align it.

  • Open the door, if you have not removed it.

  • Use the screws supplied to secure the oven to the side walls of the housing unit.

  • Refit the door if necessary (see “Cleaning and care” – “Fitting the door”).

Electrical connection

All electrical work should be carried out by a suitably qualified and competent Miele approved technician in strict accordance with local and national safety regulations.
This appliance is supplied with a power cord without plug for fixed connection to your power system. Fuse rating of branch circuit should be minimum 15 A and maximum 30 A. The voltage and connected load are given on the data plate situated at the front of the oven interior. Please ensure that these match the household mains supply. Connection should be made via a fused connection unit or a suitable isolator, which complies with national and local safety regulations, and the on/off switch should be easily accessible after the appliance has been installed. If the switch is not accessible after installation (depending on country) an additional means of disconnection must be provided for all poles. Switches with a minimum all-pole contact gap of 3 mm are suitable for isolating the appliance. These include circuit breakers, fuses and protective devices. For extra safety it is advisable to install a suitable residual current device (RCD) / ground fault interrupter (GFI). Contact a qualified electrician for advice. If the cord is damaged a new cord must be fitted by a Miele approved technician.

WARNING – THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
Temporary or permanent operation on an autonomous power supply system or a power supply system that is not synchronized with the mains power supply (e.g. island networks, back-up systems) is possible. A prerequisite for operation is that the power supply system complies with the specifications of EN 50160 or an equivalent standard. The function and operation of the protective measures provided in the domestic electrical installation and in this Miele product must also be maintained in isolated operation or in operation that is not synchronized with the mains power supply, or these measures must be replaced by equivalent measures in the installation. As described, for example, in the current version of BS OHSAS 18001–2 ISO 45001.

This oven is intended for connection to a power supply system where the maximum value of external phase neutral loop impedance Zmax of 0.42 Ohms at the point of distributor supply connection is not exceeded.
The user has to ensure that this oven is connected only to a power supply system which fulfils the requirement above. If in doubt, please ask your electrical distributor for actual impedance value.
