SUNCO LIGHTING PRE-83148 70W LED Flood Light

Product Information

The LED Flood Lights are high-quality outdoor lighting fixtures designed for illuminating large areas. They are suitable for both residential and commercial use. The lights are equipped with a universal voltage driver, allowing them to operate at a range of 120V to 277VAC and 50 or 60 Hz frequencies. The fixtures come with a heavy-duty XC1 cover for added protection.

Installation Instructions

  1. Before installation, please find a qualified electrician to ensure proper installation and safety.
  2. Read the instructions carefully before proceeding with the installation.
  3. WARNING: To avoid the risk of fire or electrical shock, always disconnect the power before installing or servicing the lights.
  4. Seal the arm thread using Teflon tape or silicone sealant.
  5. Secure the LED Flood to a 1/2” NPS hole in a junction box or landscape post.
  6. Plug all unused holes and seal threads with silicone for proper sealing.

Standard Wiring

The LED Flood Lights have a universal voltage driver that allows operation at different voltage inputs ranging from 120V to 277VAC. Follow these steps for proper wiring:

  1. Connect the black fixture lead to the (+) LINE supply lead.
  2. Connect the white fixture lead to the (-) COMMON supply lead.
  3. Connect the GROUND wire from the fixture to the supply ground.

To Source 120-277V:

Cleaning & Maintenance

CAUTION: Ensure that the fixture temperature is cool enough to touch before performing any cleaning or maintenance. Never clean or maintain the fixture while it is energized.

  1. Clean the lens with a gentle lens cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. Do not open the fixture to clean the LED. Avoid touching the LED directly.

Troubleshooting

  1. Verify that the proper line voltage is present and that the fixture is wired correctly.
  2. Check that the fixture is properly grounded.

WARNING, CAUTIONS AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • To reduce the risk of death, personal injury or property damage from fire, electrical shock, falling parts, cuts/abrasions, and other hazards read all warnings and instructions included with and on the fixture box and all fixture labels.
  • Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance upon this equipment, follow these general precautions.
  • Commercial installation, service and maintenance of luminaries should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
  • For the installation: If you are unsure about the installation or maintenance of luminaries, consult a qualified licensed electrician and check your local electrical code.
  • To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other objects.
  • Do not make or alter any holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.

WARNING: RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRICAL SHOCK

  • Turn off electrical power at fuse or circuit breaker box before wiring fixture to the power supply.
  • Turn off the power when you perform any maintenance.
  • Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the luminaire label information.
  • Make all electrical and grounded connections in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any applicable local code requirements.
  • All wiring connections should be capped with UL approved wire connectors.

CAUTION: RISK OF INJURY

  • Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
  • Account for small parts and destroy packing material, as these may be hazardous to children.
  • Suitable for Wet locations, IP65.

ARM MOUNTING • 20W / 30W / 50W / 70W (Fig. 1)

  1. Seal arm thread using teflon tape or silicone sealant.
  2. Secure the LED Flood to a 1/2’’ NPS hole in a junction box or landscape post. Heavy duty XC1 cover provided.
  3. Plug all unused holes and seal threads with silicone.
  4. The swivel arm on the LED Flood allows 180° vertical aiming adjustment depending on mounting location.

STANDARD WIRING

Universal voltage driver permits operation at 120V to 277VAC, 50 or 60 Hz.

  1. Connect the black fixture lead to the (+) LINE supply lead.
  2. Connect the white fixture lead to the (-) COMMON supply lead.
  3. Connect the GROUND wire from fixture to supply ground.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Be sure fixture temperature is cool enough to touch. Do not clean or maintain while fixture is energized.

  1. Clean lens with a gentle lens cloth.
  2. Do not open fixture to clean the LED. Do not touch the LED.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. Verify the proper line voltage is present and the fixture is wired correctly.
  2. Check that the fixture is grounded.
