Read these instructions and save for future use.

Unit will fall if not installed properly. Follow installation instructions.

The luminaire should be mounted so that prolonged staring into the luminaire at a distance closer than 0.50m is not expected.

(1) Storage & Handling

Store packaged units in a covered dry area

Check for damage        Do not impact          Do not stack

(2) Slipfitter Mounting

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 2A
Unless captive, unhinge and remove door.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 2B
Open clamp to pipe OD.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 2C
Install with LEDs facing down.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 2D
Insert pipe thru housing.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 2E
Start pipe on middle step.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 2F
Shift steps to level fixture front-to-back.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 2G
Rotate to level side-to-side.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 2H
Once level, tighten bolts evenly.

WARNING

RISK OF DAMAGE
Do not torque bolts greater than 12 ft-lbs.
Damage may occur.

(3) Pole Mounting

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 3A
Verify pole size is in allowed range.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 3B
Verify or make hole pattern.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 3C
Adjust nut-plate to match hole spacing.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 3D
Adjust nut-plate to match hole spacing.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 3E
Insert nut-plate and hold with upper bolt.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 3F
Hang arm on upper bolt through keyhole.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 3G
Insert lower bolt/washers and tighten.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 3H
Tighten upper and lower bolts.

(4) Knuckle Mounting

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 4A
Remove wiring coverplate and gasket.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 4B
Thread wire and insert into knuckle base.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 4C
Tighten three (3) mounting bolts.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 4D
Adjust aim and tighten knuckle bolt.

WARNING

RISK OF DAMAGE
Do not torque bolts greater than 20 ft-lbs. Damage may occur.
WARNING

RISK OF DAMAGE
Do not torque mounting bolt greater than 22 ft-lbs and knuckle bolt greater than 50 ft-lbs. Damage may occur.

(5) Knuckle Wall Mounting

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 5A
Drill mounting surface and insert 4 user-supplied anchors.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 5B
Mount with user-supplied anchor bolts.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 5C
Adjust aim and tighten knuckle bolt.

WARNING

RISK OF DAMAGE
Select user-supplied wall anchors and anchor fasteners suitable for the wall construction and the fixture’s mounting hole diameters. Ensure a minimum per- anchor pull-out-strength of 10 times (10X) the fixture weight and install per the manufacturer’s instructions.

(6) Wiring

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 6A
Extend wires past pipe

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 6B
Secure wires in terminal block.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 6C
Connections for wired external dimming.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 6D
Make supply wire connections.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 6E
Make supply wire connections.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 6F
Insert wires and reinstall coverplate/gasket

CAUTION

RISK OF DAMAGE
Follow applicable national and local electrical codes.
Verify supply voltage and wire insulation temperature rating match nameplate requirements.

(7) Photoelectric Control

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 7A
Rotate receptacle to aim “N” to North.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 7B
Lift, rotate, release, press to seat.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 7C
Insert, twist to lock.

(8) Door Closing

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 8A
Hang door on hinge, rotate closed.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 8B
Close and fasten door.

(9) Cleaning

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 9A
Use mild soap/detergent.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 9B
Rinse with cool low pressure water.

GE current EACL LED Area Light - 9C
Wipe dry with clean soft cloth.

CAUTION

RISK OF DAMAGE.
Do not use soap/detergent containing aromatic hydrocarbons.
