BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Read these instructions and save for future use.

Unit will fall if not installed properly. Follow installation instructions.

The luminaire should be mounted so that prolonged staring into the luminaire
at a distance closer than 0.50m is not expected.
(1) Storage & Handling
Store packaged units in a covered dry area
Check for damage Do not impact Do not stack
Evolve™ EAL-Series
(2) Slipfitter Mounting
Unless captive, unhinge and remove door.
Open clamp to pipe OD.
Install with LEDs facing down.
Insert pipe thru housing.
Start pipe on middle step.
Shift steps to level fixture front-to-back.
Rotate to level side-to-side.
Once level, tighten bolts evenly.
WARNING
RISK OF DAMAGE
Do not torque bolts greater than 12 ft-lbs.
Damage may occur.
(3) Pole Mounting
Verify pole size is in allowed range.
Verify or make hole pattern.
Adjust nut-plate to match hole spacing.
Adjust nut-plate to match hole spacing.
Insert nut-plate and hold with upper bolt.
Hang arm on upper bolt through keyhole.
Insert lower bolt/washers and tighten.
Tighten upper and lower bolts.
(4) Knuckle Mounting
Remove wiring coverplate and gasket.
Thread wire and insert into knuckle base.
Tighten three (3) mounting bolts.
Adjust aim and tighten knuckle bolt.

Do not torque bolts greater than 20 ft-lbs. Damage may occur.

RISK OF DAMAGE
Do not torque mounting bolt greater than 22 ft-lbs and knuckle bolt greater
than 50 ft-lbs. Damage may occur.
(5) Knuckle Wall Mounting
Drill mounting surface and insert 4 user-supplied anchors.
Mount with user-supplied anchor bolts.
Adjust aim and tighten knuckle bolt.
WARNING
RISK OF DAMAGE
Select user-supplied wall anchors and anchor fasteners suitable for the wall
construction and the fixture’s mounting hole diameters. Ensure a minimum per-
anchor pull-out-strength of 10 times (10X) the fixture weight and install per
the manufacturer’s instructions.
(6) Wiring
Extend wires past pipe
Secure wires in terminal block.
Connections for wired external dimming.
Make supply wire connections.
Make supply wire connections.
Insert wires and reinstall coverplate/gasket
CAUTION
RISK OF DAMAGE
Follow applicable national and local electrical codes.
Verify supply voltage and wire insulation temperature rating match nameplate
requirements.
(7) Photoelectric Control
Rotate receptacle to aim “N” to North.
Lift, rotate, release, press to seat.
Insert, twist to lock.
(8) Door Closing
Hang door on hinge, rotate closed.
Close and fasten door.
(9) Cleaning
Use mild soap/detergent.
Rinse with cool low pressure water.
Wipe dry with clean soft cloth.
CAUTION
RISK OF DAMAGE.
Do not use soap/detergent containing aromatic hydrocarbons.
