Gen 1 MTN Cranks:

• Spacing: Different from newer Gen 2 MTN Cranks
• Offsets for Ring Offset Correct Chainlines:
  • -1mm DMC Offset = 56mm Chainline (Super Boost)
  • 0mm DMB Offset = 52mm Chainline (Boost)
  • 3mm DMA Offset = 49mm Chainline (Non-Boost)

Gen 2 MTN Cranks:

• Ring Offsets for Chainline:
  • -1mm Offset = 56mm Chainline (Super Boost)
  • 0mm Offset = 55mm Chainline
  • 3mm Offset = 52mm Chainline (Boost)
  • 6mm Offset = 49mm Chainline (Non-Boost)

Product Usage Instructions

Wave Ring / Chain Set Up:

• Chain Installation: Ensure the chain is aligned and correctly
  placed on the Wave Tech ring. The chain should sit down and ride on the teeth correctly.

DM Ring Installation (Road & MTN Cranks):

• Tighten Torx Bolts: Use a T25 Torx wrench to tighten the bolts to 9Nm.
• Clean & Grease: Clean and apply grease to the interface surface where the ring mounts.

1X Ring – Installation/Mounting:

• Correct Mounting for 1X 110BCD Regular Rings:
  • Mount to the front side of regular 110 spiders.
  • Use regular chainring bolts (Nut & Bolt) for mounting.
• Correct Mounting for e44T & e46T 110BCD Threaded Rings:
  • Mount to the backside of e110 spiders.
  • Use threaded male M8 chainring bolts for mounting.
  • Ensure a minimum thread length of 7mm.

2X Ring Set – Installation/Alignment:

• Align the markings on the back of the ring set.
• For Traditional 5-Arm Mount or 4-Arm with Hidden 5th Mount:
  • Catch Pin Placement: Place the catch pin behind your crank arm.
  • Plug Pin Placement: Place the plug pin on the opposite side.

2X Chain Ring Installation:

• Ensure correct positioning of the chain rings as shown in the graphics provided.
• Smooth shifting may not be possible if the chain rings are incorrectly installed.

Cross Gearing Small/Small:

• If the chain is in the position where it contacts the front chain rings or front derailleur and makes noise, shift the chain onto the next-larger rear sprocket or the one after for noise reduction.

Bolt Circle 110BCD/130BCD:

• For 2X Road Ring Sets:
  • Removable Catch Pin/Plug: Included with 110/130 sets
  • Catch Pin Placement: Place the catch pin behind your crank arm.
  • Plug Pin Placement: Place the plug pin on the opposite side.

48/32 110BCD Set (BUZZ / BUZZ SPORT):

• For Safety Chain Clearance, ensure proper chainline.

THE OLDER GEN1 MTN CRANKS HAD DIFFERENT SPACING.
FOLLOW THESE OFFSETS FOR CORRECT CHAINLINES

• -1mm “DMC” OFFSET = 56MM CL “Super Boost”
• 0mm “DMB” OFFSET = 52MM CL “Boost”
• 3mm “DMA” OFFSET = 49MM CL “Non Boost”

CHAIN INSTALLATION : Using the icon on your Wave Ring, Make sure your chain is aligned and placed correctly on the Wave Tech ring or chain will not sit down and ride on teeth correctly.

2X CHAIN RING INSTALLATION
The Praxis Works chain rings are matched sets and smooth shifting will not be possible if the chain rings are incorrectly installed. Be sure to install the chain rings in the correct positions as the graphics above show.

CROSS GEARING “SMALL/SMALL”
When the chain is in the position shown at the right, the chain may contact the front chain rings or front derailleur and make noise. If the noise is a problem, shift the chain onto the next-larger rear sprocket or the one after.

• Visually inspect your crank mounting tabs!
• Do NOT install our 48/32 on any crank/spider that does not look like this.
• Our 110BCD spiders have special tabs required for safe chain clearance/installation. This design allows our 48/32 set to be installed on our Praxis 110BCD cranks in conjunction with our custom ring bolts.
• Our spider tab design is also used by Cane Creek, Bingham and Specialized. (So visually inspect your spider first!)
