Warning:
All wiring and installation must be in accordance with local building and electrical codes. Always disconnect transformer from power source before performing work on lighting system.

  1. Do not install within 10 feet (3 m) of a pool, spa or fountain.

  2. There are no serviceable parts inside the power supply unit.
    DO NOT DISASSEMBLE.

  3. Do not repair or tamper with cord or plug.

  4. Do not submerge transformer in water.

  5. Do not mount the transformer onto combustible material.

  6. Do not connect two or more transformers in parallel.

  7. Do not use the transformer with a dimmer switch.

  8. Plug the power supply unit directly into a GFCI wet location outlet.

  9. For use with low voltage outdoor landscape lighting system only.

  10. The maximum output of this transformer is 200 watts. Do not overload the transformer.Be sure that the total cumulative wattage of all 12 volt fixtures connected to the transformer is equal to or less than 200 watts.

INSTALLATION

  1. Mount transformer by using the slots of the mounting bracket on the wall (at least one foot above the ground). Make sure that the terminals arefacing down.
  2. Split cable about 2″ and strip approximately 1/2″ to 3/4″ of insulation from wire ends and twist tightly.
  3. Thread the stripped/twisted cables firmly into the terminals.
  4. Tighten screws securely.
  5. Plug transformer into a 120V GFCI receptacle marked for “wet location”
Note: If a photocell is used with this transformer, placed the photocell in a location that is not exposed to artificial light.

MULTI-TAP VOLTAGE TERMINAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This transformer has multiple output terminals: 12V, 13V, 14V, 15V and common (C). The total load applied to the common must not exceed 200VA.
  2. Different terminals can be used simultaneously as long as the total lamp wattage dose not exceed 200VA. One wire of each cable needs to be connected to a common.
  3. A volt meter can be used to confirm that the voltage output at each fixture is appropriate for your system. For fixtures using halogen and incandescent lamps, voltage of 10.5V – 12V should be supplied to each fixture. Voltage higher than 12V measured at the fixture will increase light output while decreasing the rated lamp life. Voltage lower than 12V measured at the fixture will increase rated lamp life while decreasing the light output.
  4. Many LED lamps have a wider input voltage range (ex. 10-15) and any voltage within that range is acceptable.

CIRCUIT BREAKER

If a circuit breaker occurs, immediately disconnect the transformer from the power source. Common causes for a circuit break are:

  • Low voltage wires are incorrectly connected to transformer output terminals.
  • Overload or short circuit (bare wires touching) somewhere along cable.
  • Fixtures are incorrectly installed along the cable.
  • Lamp load along a circuit exceeds 200VA.

Make all repairs to the lighting system before reconnecting the transformer to the power source. After the problem has been determined and solved, reset the breaker by flipping the resettable switch.

PHOTOCELL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Disconnect transformer from the power source.
  2. Remove the white jumper connector from the photocell plug.
  3. Remove the 7/8″ knockout from the side of the transformer.
  4. Thread the photocell’s connector through the knockout. Inside the transformer housing, thread the star nut onto the photocell and tighten.
  5. Plug the photocell’s white connector into the photocell plug.
  6. Place the photocell in a location unexposed to artificial light. Exposure to other light sources will cause the photocell to cycle on and off.
  7. Reconnect the transformer to the power source.
  8. Turn power ON.

24 HOUR TIMER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Disconnect transformer from the power source.
  2. Unplug cord from the timer module receptacle.
  3. Plug the cord into the 24 hour timer.
  4. Plug the 24 hour timer into the transformer.
