5. NOTES

Before operating the detector, make sure that there is no moisture on the detection area. Dry the detector with a cloth if necessary.

Make sure that no moisture enters the detector. Do not allow sunlight to shine directly on the detector for extended periods of time.

The use or operation of transmitters or machines that generate a strong, electromagnetic field (e.g. microwaves) can affect the detection results.

For best results, do not wear jewelry such as rings or watches when using the detector. Metal objects may cause inaccurate detection.

When detecting wood, the tool must always be in contact with the wall surface during the scan. Make sure that the fingers of the hand holding the tool do not touch the surface to be scanned.

Under certain conditions (e.g. behind metallic or conductive surfaces or on damp walls), detection may not be reliable.

Do not work with the detector in explosive environments or in environments where flammable liquids, gases or dusts are present.

For technological reasons, the detector cannot guarantee one hundred percent safety. To exclude hazards, be sure to secure yourself with other sources of information, such as construction plans, before working.

Please note that this device is only a tool and cannot provide a 100% reliable result due to the variety of materials and their compound. You use this device at your own risk, we assume no liability for damages resulting from the use of the device and exclude liability to the extent permitted by law. There may be false detections as well as lines/materials not being detected. If plans are available, please consult them.

If you use other tools, please ensure that you wear appropriate protective equipment when working, e.g. consult the instructions for the tool used.

When drilling, we recommend that you find out in advance where the shut-off devices are located and ensure that they are freely accessible so that you can react quickly if the worst comes to the worst.

6. USAGE
BASIC INFORMATION AND OPERATION:

After switching on the detector, it is in metal detection mode by default. If the display shows a signal in a metal-free environment, calibration is required.

CALIBRATION:

Hold the detector in a metal-free environment (e.g. in the air). Now press and hold the metal detection mode button until the signal display returns to zero and the green light illuminates again. Now release the key. The calibration is completed.

DETECTION MODE:

Press the key for the mode you want to switch to. The currently active mode is shown on the display.

DETECTION:

Place the detector on the object surface and move the device. As the device approaches the object, the signal strength scale will automatically increase. The yellow or red LED will additionally light up.

The wood detection mode detects objects in plasterboard walls, plywood cladding, wooden floors and coated wood. Foreign objects cannot be reliably detected in concrete, mortar, brick, carpets, foil surfaces, metal surfaces, tiles or glass.

When switching to the foreign object detection mode, the device must lie still on the surface for approx. 1 – 3 seconds to perform the automatic calibration. The status of the calibration is shown on the display.
