DELIVERY INSPECTIONS
Your Lavex Industrial Pallet Jack is quality inspection certified and each unit is checked before shipment. In order to ensure that your Pallet Jack has not been damaged in transit, check that your unit is free of any major damage or dents, and in working condition before use. If damage is evident or your unit is not in working con- dition, contact your distributor immediately. Never use a damaged Pallet Jack.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Please refer to the steps below to assemble your Pallet Jacks:
- Remove the split pin (No.1), before pulling axte pin (No.2).
- Insert handle at position and connect handle to pump body, insert axle pin (No.2) then put split pin (No.1) back again.
- Put the screw and nut at the end of roller chain into the slot of lever pad.
- Pull the handle to horizontal position, pull out pin (No.3) and keep it stored for future handle replacement.
- Test the unit by pumping the handle to fully raise and lower the unit to ensure that it is in working condition.
GPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
(READ AND UNDERSTAND PRIOR TO USING THE PALLET JACK)
- To raise the load, push down on the lever control. Pump the handle to raise the load from the floor.
- To lower the load, pull up on the lever control.
- For free handle movement, place the lever control in the neutral position. NOTE: The neutral position disengages the pump from the lifting mechanism. This frees the handle, which makes pulling loads easier. This preserves the hydraulic seals and the valve components. A longer service life can be expected.
SAFETY PROCEDURES
- Test the unit by pumping the handle to fully raise and lower the unit to ensure that it is in working condition.
- Do not operate this pallet jack unless you are authorized and trained to do so.
- Never overload your pallet jack. Stay within its rated capacity.
- Do not operate this pallet jack if damaged or not in proper working condition.
- Distribute the load evenly on the forks. Do not concentrate loads at one point or load one fork more than the other.
- Always look where you are operating. Keep a clear view.
- Only handle loads on flat level surfaces. Do not use a loaded pallet jack on in- clines or declines.
- Never carry passengers.
- Never put your feet, hands, or any other body parts under the chassis assembly.
- Always yield right of way to pedestrians,
- Move loads only with pallet jack in its lowest position.
- Always make sure that the load is stable before moving to eliminate the opportu- nity for load shift.
- Use extreme care when rounding corners. Too fast a speed could cause a pallet jack to tip. tf loaded, the load could shift and fall.
- When not in use, fully lower the forks.
MAINTENANCE
-
In order to ensure best levels of performance, be sure to maintain your pallet jack regularly.
-
Be sure to routinely check your pallet jack daily for any damages or abnormalities.
Never use a pallet jack with visible damage or noticeable issues. -
Add 1-2 drops of oil in the rotary joints every three months. Generally the refueling point is at the socket of shaft and hole.
-
Replace the wheel bearing every 6-12 months.
-
Maintain an adjustment of the connecting rod under the fork every 6-12 months, or according to the truck performance.
-
Replace the hydraulic oil in the pump every 12 months. The amount of hydraulic oil should not be too much or too little, generally 250-300mI, and it’s oil level should not exceed a maximum height of the filling hote next to the pump.
-
Make an adjustment of the screw on the lever plate every 6-12 months or depending on the pallet jack performance, and the adjustment methad is the same as the rele- vant section of the above assembling content.
-
The life span of the unit’s wheels depends on multiple conditions. Make sure that your wheels are being replaced when wear is noticeable, or they are losing their shape.
-
Especially pay more attention to the place between wheel and axis. Make sure there’s not any yarn or other rags in order to keep all wheels running with hardiness.
