IT IS RECOMMENDED TO WEAR SAFETY GLASSES AND GLOVES WHILE PERFORMING THESE
INSTRUCTIONS. ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE UNIT BEFORE MAKING ANY !
CONNECTIONS. FAILURE TO DISCONNECT POWER COULD RESULT IN ELECTRIC SHOCK OR
DAMAGE TO THE WALL CONTROL OR ELECTRONIC MODULE INSIDE THE UNIT.
CAUTION
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING CAN CAUSE ERRATIC OPERATION OF THE UNIT
AND/OR THE WALL CONTROL:
NEVER INSTALL MORE THAN ONE X-TOUCH MAIN WALL CONTROL PER UNIT. MAKE SURE THAT
THE WIRES DO NOT SHORT-CIRCUIT BETWEEN THEMSELVES OR BY TOUCHING ANY OTHER
COMPONENTS ON THE WALL CONTROL. AVOID POOR WIRING CONNECTIONS. TO REDUCE
ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE (NOISE) POTENTIAL, DO NOT RUN WALL CONTROL WIRING NEXT
TO CONTROL CONTACTORS OR NEAR LIGHT DIMMING CIRCUITS, ELECTRICAL MOTORS,
DWELLING/BUILDING POWER OR LIGHTING WIRING, OR POWER DISTRIBUTION PANEL.
-
UNPLUG THE VENTILATION UNIT FROM POWER SOURCE.
-
CUT A 2 7/8” X 1 3/8” HOLE IN A WALL, AT A CONVENIENT LOCATION FOR THE WALL CONTROL. ROUTE THE CABLE FROM THE UNIT TO THIS HOLE.
NOTE: DIMENSIONS SHOWN ARE FOR AN INSTALLATION WITHOUT WALL BOX. -
TEMPORARILY PLACE THE SWITCH OVER THE HOLE AND MARK BOTH MOUNTING SCREW HOLE POSITIONS.
-
REMOVE THE SWITCH, DRILL BOTH SCREW HOLES (3/16” Ø) IN WALL AND INSERT WALL ANCHORS (INCLUDED).
-
STRIP THE END OF THE CABLE TO ACCESS THE 4 WIRES. STRIP THE END OF EACH WIRE. USING A SMALL BLADE SCREWDRIVER, CONNECT EACH WIRE TO ITS CORRESPONDING TERMINAL, ON THE BACK OF THE WALL CONTROL: YELLOW WIRE TO “Y”, BLACK WIRE TO “B”, RED WIRE TO “R”, AND GREEN WIRE TO “G”.
-
MOUNT THE WALL CONTROL TO THE WALL. PLUG THE VENTILATION UNIT AND TEST THE WALL CONTROL OPERATION.

PUT THE UNIT ON STAND-BY MODE, SO IT WILL ONLY RESPOND TO OVERRIDE WALL
CONTROLS (IF PRESENT). ON LCD SCREEN, ONLY THE HOUSE IS VISIBLE SHOWING THE
CONTROL IS POWERED ON. THIS IS THE FACTORY SET DEFAULT MODE.
RECIRC
AIR IS RECIRCULATED INSIDE THE HOUSE ON HIGH SPEED.
20 MIN/H
THE VENTILATION UNIT EXCHANGES AIR INTERMITTENTLY ON A ONE HOUR CYCLE AS
FOLLOWS: OFF FOR 40 MIN. (OR RECIRCULATION FOR 40 MIN. ON LOW OR HIGH SPEED,
SEE BACK PAG E ) AND THEN EXCHANGE AIR DURING 20 MIN. ON LOW SPEED. REPEAT
CYCLE AFTER THE 20 MIN. OF AIR EXCHANGE.
CONT
AIR IS EXCHANGED WITH THE OUTDOORS AT THE MINIMUM BLOWER SPEED.
SMART
AIR EXCHANGE IS MANAGED ACCORDING TO INDOOR HUMIDITY MEASURED BY THE WALL
CONTROL AND OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE. IN SMART MODE, THE SMART ICON APPEARS AS WELL
AS THE CURRENT OPERATING MODE CALLED BY SMART (SEE BELOW). NOTE: THE ECO MODE SET THE UNIT OPERATION TO STANDBY FOR 50
MINUTES (OR IN RECIRC MODE FOR 50 MINUTES; SEE SETTINGS SECTION) AND THEN
EXCHANGE AIR DURING 10 MINUTES ON LOW SPEED. THIS MODE IS EXCLUSIVELY
ACTIVATED BY SMART MODE.
THE CHART BELOW SHOWS THE OPERATING MODES CALLED BY SMART MODE, ACCORDING TO
THE INDOOR HUMIDITY PERCENTAGE AND THE OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE.* THIS AREA REPRESENTS STANBY MODE.
FUNCTIONS
TURBO FUNCTION
PRESS THE TURBO FUNCTION KEY TO TURN THE UNIT ON AIR EXCHANGE IN HIGH SPEED
DURING 4 HOURS, THEN, THE UNIT WILL GET BACK TO ITS PREVIOUS OPERATION MODE.

TURBO MODE, PRESS ON TURBO OR MODE KEY; THE UNIT WILL GET BACK TO ITS PREVIOUS
OPERATION MODE.
DEHUMIDISTAT FUNCTION THE DEHUMIDISTAT FUNCTION HAS BEEN CREATED TO
MANAGE THE INDOOR RELATIVE HUMIDITY EXCESS. WHEN THE ACTUAL HOMERELATIVE
HUMIDITY PERCENTAGE (RH %) DETECTED IS OVER THE SET VALUE, DROPS APPEARS ON
SCREEN AND THE CONTROL OVERRIDES THE CURRENT MODE, TURNING ON THE UNIT ON HIGH
SPEED EXHANGE UNTIL THE INDOOR RELATIVE HUMDITY % SET IS REACHED. THE UNIT
THEN RETURNS TO ITS PREVIOUS OPERATION SETTING. REFER BELOW TO FIND OUT HOW TO
SET THE INDOOR RELATIVE HUMIDITY %.
HOW TO ENABLE AND DISABLE THE DEHUMIDISTAT FUNCTION:
