IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of #re, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using this heater.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least.

- Do not use outdoors.
- This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
- Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from tra=c area and where it will not be tripped over.
- To disconnect heater, turn controls to o>, then remove plug from outlet.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or #re, or damage the heater.
- To prevent a possible #re, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or )ammable liquids are used or stored.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause #re, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/ receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
- When unplugging, be sure to pull by the plug and not the cord.
- Before use, always check that the appliance, plug and powercord are in good conditions.
- The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
- Never allow water to get into the appliance.
- Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
- For maintenance and adjustment operations, please refer to the user guide supplied at the end of this manual.
- This heater may include an audible (a visual) alarm to warn that parts of the heater are getting excessively hot. If the alarm sounds ()ashes), immediately turn the heater o> and inspect for any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperatures. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE ALARM SOUNDING (FLASHING).
CAUTION: ALTHOUGH THIS DEVICE IS PROVIDED WITH PROTECTION WHICH REDUCES THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NEVER BE USED NEAR WATER.

- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other).
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to !t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not !t fully in the oulet, reverse the plug.
- If it still does not !t, contact a quali!ed electrician to install the proper outlet.
- DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR DEFEAT THIS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- The electrical facilities of the room, as well as the installation and use of the appliance must comply with the standards in force in your country.
- The appliance must be installed so that the mains power socket is accessible.
- Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance, even when unplugging it from a wall socket.
- Never use the appliance in an inclined or horizontal position.
- This appliance is designed for indoor domestic household use only. In case of professional use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee does not apply.
- Always unroll the power cord completely before use.
- Do not use an extension cable which is not adapted to the voltage of your appliance.
- Do not use the appliance in a dusty room or a location where there is a risk of #re.
- This appliance must not be used in a humid environment.
- Never use the appliance without its #lter (if it is equipped with one).
- Switch o> the appliance and unplug it before cleaning or storing it.
- The warranty will be invalidated if damage occurs due to incorrect use.
MAINTENANCE
- CAUTION: Always be sure the heater is switched OFF, unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning or attempting to store the item. The Heater takes approximately 15-20 minutes to cool completely.
- Do NOT immerse heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater, as this could create an electric shock hazard.
- PLEASE NOTE: Regardless of the type of heating system setup, always install and maintain at least one smoke detector in good working condition on each #oor of your home. Periodically check and/or replace the battery in your smoke detector with a fresh battery.
CLEANING & STORAGE
- Always turn o> the heater and disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet before cleaning your heater.
- Light accumulated dust may be removed from the heater with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner.
- Clean the outside of the heater by wiping with a damp cloth and bu> with a dry cloth.
- DO NOT use any detergents or abrasives and do not allow any water to enter the heater.
- DO NOT allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could create a !re or electric shock hazard.
FIRST USE
- Before #rst use, ensure that the voltage, frequency and power of your appliance are suitable for your electrical supply.
- Before switching on your appliance, ensure that :
- the appliance is completely assembled as described in the safety instructions,
- the appliance is placed on a stable, horizontal surface,
- the appliance is positioned in accordance with the instructions given in this manual,
- The air intake and outlet grills are completely unobstructed.
- When you use the appliance for the #rst time, it may temporarily release a faint odour and smoke (this is perfectly normal for new appliances: it will disappear after a few minutes).
- IMPORTANT : You are advised to unplug the appliance when not in use.
IN CASE OF OVERHEATING
- A safety device shuts down the unit.
- Unplug your device and allow it to cool down at least 30 minutes; then eliminate the fault that might have locked your device.
- Once cool, plug back into the electrical outlet for use.
- If the fault persists or gets worse, a thermal fuse shuts the appliance down completely: it must then be taken to an approved service centre.
IN CASE OF ANY PROBLEM
- Do not disassemble the appliance yourself. A poorly repaired appliance may be dangerous for the user.
- Do not use the appliance and contact an Approved Service Centre if :
- your appliance has been dropped;
- your appliance or its power cord are damaged;
- your appliance no longer functions properly.
