CPE MAX5 Gigabox
Outdoor-ready, dust- and water-proof antenna for a better signal.

It connects and powers the CPE MAX5 antenna.Indoor Wi-Fi Box, receives the
signal from the antenna via the power supply and provides the best Wi-Fi
network in your home.
Insert SIM and connect the CPE MAX5 to the power adapter
Insert the SIM card in the CPE MAX5 and lock the SIM card cover.
Insert the network cable and secure with the waterproof kit.
Connect the network cable to the blue port of the power adapter. Connect the
power adapter to the power supply.
Power on the power adapter. The CPE MAX5 will automatically power on and
search for available mobile networks. Check the signal light of the indicator,
it shows if the CPE MAX5 has successfully connected tothe network.
In some cases the CPE MAX5 will beautomatically upgraded to the latest
Firmware and will therefore perform restart after the fi rst start. This
entireprocess can take up to 10 minutes until the signal lights stop blinking.

Connect the Wi-Fi Box and set up the Wi-Fi network
Connect the Ethernet cable with one of the Ethernet ports on the Wi-Fi Box
and with the LAN port of theCPE MAX5 power adapter.
Connect the power cable of the Wi-Fi Box to the power supply and turn on the
Wi-Fi Box.
Connect your devices to the new Wi-Fi network by selecting the Wi-Fi network
name (SSID) and password, displayed under your Wi-Fi Box. You can also simply
scan the QR code with your smartphone. You will fi nd more information about

Installation of the Huawei CPE MAX5 antenna, whenever possible outside
If possible install the CPE MAX5 outside. For better quality of service, you
can opt for a pole or wall.
Before installing the CPE MAX5 we recommend carrying out speed tests to defi ne
the best possible position. More information on:salt.ch/help/home
Once the location has been determined, follow the appropriate installation
steps depending on where it has been installed.
The special cable allows you to use a window or door for cable routing, which
can be closed easily. All the necessary material is included in the package.
Method A: Installing the CPE MAX5 on a pole
Method B: Installing the CPE MAX5 on a wall
**** Install the CPE MAX5 vertically on the base. If the CPE MAX5 is positioned upside down or inclined, water may enter and damage it.
