Product Usage Instructions

  1. If needed for daisy chaining, drill speaker base and install a second liquid-tight strain relief.
  2. Attach in-ground/security brackets to the speaker base using stainless steel bolts.
  3. Thread the signal wire through the liquid-tight strain relief and tighten the seal.
  4. Place the speaker base into a hole in the ground with the top rim of the base at ground level. Back-fill the dirt firmly. For added security, cement security brackets into the ground.
  5. Select the tap position by removing the rubber plug to access the rotary switch. The switch is preset to the maximum tap setting in 70.7 V mode (64W XT850, 32W XT550). Select the desired setting and reinsert the rubber plug.
  6. Attach the signal wire to the wire leads using the provided wire nuts. For added waterproofing, grease caps are recommended.
  7. Set the speaker enclosure on the speaker base. Use tamper-resistant stainless-steel screws to attach the speaker to the base (driver tip and screws provided).
  8. To enhance bass performance, remove the port cover on the underside of the speaker enclosure. Warning: Removing the cover will expose internal components to humidity and other potentially corrosive elements.
  9. Consult the transformer manufacturer’s installation and connection instructions. Unravel the LED wire pair and connect XT850-LED wires to the appropriate landscape lighting cable and landscape lighting transformer. The black/white wire is positive, and the all-black wire is negative.
