LOADING & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
051-007 Pro Quick Load Drywall Taper
- Wood handle
- Lightweight aluminum
- One hand mud loading

- Serrated cut-off blade
LOADING INSTRUCTIONS
(Use a 250 – 500′ long, 2″ wide roll of tape)
- With mud compartment door facing up, lay Pro “Quick-Load” Drywall Taper on side.
- Release tape spool gate latch to access tape spool holder.
- Pull tape spool holder up.
- Place roll of tape on tape spool, unreeling in clockwise direction.
- Hand feed tape into rear slot of mud compartment, threading 8 to 12″.
- Close tape spool gate and re-latch.
- Release mud compartment door latch and pull door open.
- Find tape leader and pass tape through front slot of mud compartment, extending tape 6″ beyond cut-off blade.
- In order for tape to skim across surface of mud, mold tape from bottom to top and along sides of mud compartment.
- Pour mud mixed to manufacturer’s instructions into mud compartment, close door and re-latch.
- Pull out a few inches of tape from front slot to check amount of mud on tape.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Point Pro “Quick-Load” Drywall Taper upright.
- Briskly swing front slot towards floor to get mud flow started.
- Pull out 6″ of tape.
- Place tape at origin of seam and hold it in position with a 6 or 8″ taping knife.
- Keep Pro “Quick-Load” Drywall Taper 6″ above seam and pull out 10 to 12″ of tape.
- Slide taping knife down over tape to new holding point.
- Slide taping knife down over tape to new holding point.
- At end, hold tape firmly while pulling through front slot across cut-off blade, then push cut-off blade against tape to cut tape.
- Use taping knife to flatten tape and remove excess mud from seam.
- Use taping knife to flatten tape and remove excess mud from seam.
- When seams are dry, apply fill coat followed by thin blending coat and sand lightly.
