Product Usage Instructions

  1. To switch on the device, press the Led button.
  2. To switch off the device, press and hold the Led button for 3 seconds. The device will beep and the Led will flash.
  3. Main Pairing (Phone, TFT, GPS – Mono/Stereo):
    • Access Settings by pressing the Control button for 7 seconds when the device is off. The device will beep.
    • Press the Control button for 3 seconds. The device will beep and the Led will flash 3 times.
    • Select “BTR1 Advanced” on your phone, GPS, or TFT device.
    • Confirm the pairing by pressing the Control button for 1 second. Note: To pair a 2nd device in mono audio, repeat this procedure using the Vol – button.
  4. Midland Intercom Pairing:
    • Access Settings by pressing the Control button for 7 seconds when the device is off. The device will flash fast.
    • Follow the procedure to pair with a phone.
  5. Other Brand Intercom Pairing (Universal Intercom)
    • Access Settings by pressing the Control button for 7 seconds
    • when the device is off. The device will flash slowly.
    • Follow the procedure to pair with a phone.
  6. Pairing 4 Units in Conference:
    • Access Settings by pressing the Control button for 7 seconds when the device is off. The device will beep.
    • Press the Control button for 3 seconds. The device will flash.
    • Press the Control button again for 3 seconds. The device will flash.
    • Press the Control button once more for 3 seconds. The device will flash.
  7. Reset Bluetooth Pairings:
    • Access Settings by pressing the Control button for 7 seconds when the device is off. The device will beep.
    • Press and hold the Vol + and Vol – buttons together for 3 seconds. The device will beep and the Led will turn static.
    • Confirm by pressing the Control button for 1 second.
  8. Exit Settings Mode or Cancel Pairing:
    • Access Settings by pressing the Control button for 7 seconds when the device is off. The device will flash.
    • Press the Control button twice. The flashing pattern will change.

Note: The Conference mode allows simultaneous communication among units. All units must be paired in a chain configuration: the down button of the first unit must be paired to the Up button of the second unit and so on.   • intercom Mode: to communicate with another device.
  • Phone Mode: for phone calls or for managing music.
  • FM Radio Mode: to listen to radio, search, and store stations.

Note: Phone mode and Intercom mode are enabled only when your intercom is paired to other devices.
Note: By pressing simultaneously Vol + and Vol -, BTR1 Advanced communicates the selected operating mode.

INTERCOM MODE

TO OPEN/CLOSE INTERCOM MANUAL

Note : to communicate with Rider 1/3 repeat the process by pressing the Up/ (Rider 1)/Down (Rider 3) buttons.

VOX ACTIVATION/DEACTIVATION

Note: Voice activation is only possible when the intercom device is paired with the Control button.

SHORTCUT: In Intercom/FM radio modes press Control 2 times to activate/deactivate the music

ATTENTION: To carry out any pairings you need to access Settings. If the Control button is pressed for fewer than 7 seconds, the device will switch itself on instead of accessing Settings. If this occurs, repeat the process.

Note : to pair a 2nd device in mono audio, repeat this procedure using Volume.

Note : to pair another Midland intercom, follow the same procedure using the Up/Down buttons.
