Wear Plate: Replace the wear plate immediately if wear marks become visible. Do not use a worn mowing head with a wear plate attached.

Bearing Bushings: Check the freedom of movement of the bearing bushings before replacing polymer blades or the wear plate. Wash the bearing bushings and collar screws in a non-flammable liquid, then dry and lubricate with STIHL Multispray (sold separately). Retighten the collar screws.

Pre-soaking Polymer Blades: Increase the useful life of polymer blades and mowing lines by keeping them in a water bath for 12 to 24 hours before use. 10. Save these instructions for future

To reduce risk of injury from broken parts, check condition of trimmer, mowing head, tighten screws and check freedom of movement of the bearing bushings before starting work and at regular short intervals thereafter.
