Product Usage Instructions

  8. Extreme caution is necessary when using the heater near children or invalids, and never leave the heater operating unattended.
  9. Do not operate the heater if the cord or plug is damaged or if the heater has malfunctioned, been dropped, or damaged in any manner. Contact Customer Service for examination and repair.
  10. Always unplug the heater when not in use.
  11. Do not insert foreign objects into ventilation or exhaust openings as it may cause electric shock, fire, or damage to the heater.
  12. Supervise small children around the heater and do not obstruct the heater outlet with cloth or decorations to prevent fire and serious injury.

  • DO NOT place the heater near a bed because objects such as pillows or blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited by the heater.

  • DO NOT COVER this heater or block the air vents at all. Doing so could cause a fire.

  • AVOID fire or electric shock! NEVER insert or allow any foreign ventilation or exhaust openings of this heater.

  • Prevent Fire! Keep all flammable liquids, like gasoline or paint, away from this heater. This heater produces arcing sparks that could ignite flammable liquids.

  • DO NOT cover this heater in any manner. Doing so could block the air flow and cause the unit to overheat, or could ignite the material covering the heater.

  • NEVER run the power cord under carpet, rugs, runners, or any other covering. Doing so could cause the cord or materials covering the cord to overheat.

  • AVOID FIRE! Regularly inspect all air vents to make sure they are free from dust, lint, or other blockage. Unplug the unit and clean with a vacuum ONLY. DO NOT rinse or get wet.

  • For residential use only! NOT for commercial use! NEVER use this fireplace for other than its intended purpose.

  • ALWAYS disconnect this unit from the power supply before performing any assembly or cleaning, before replacing the light bulb, or before relocating the electric fireplace.

  • NEVER use this heater in bathrooms, laundry rooms, or any other location where the heater could fall into a bathtub or pool, become damp or come in contact with water.

  • NEVER hang this unit on a wall directly below an electrical outlet.

  • NEVER operate this heater if the power cord or plug has become damaged, or if the grounding pin is damaged or missing.

  • Place the heater near a wall outlet so an extension cord is not needed. If an extension cord is needed, the gauge of the cord must be at least 14AWG, and the rating must be at least 1875 Watts. NEVER use a smaller gauge cord with a lower rating.
    Doing so may result in fire or electric shock.

  • Avoid hazards due to resetting of the thermal cut-off switch. NEVER control this unit with a timer, or allow it to be on a circuit regularly switched off by the utility.

  • ONLY use this heater on a 110-120 Volt 15 Amp grounded circuit. NEVER overload the circuit. If this heater trips the circuit breaker, unplug all other appliances on the same circuit before the next use. Avoid plugging other appliances into the same circuit as this heater.

  • NEVER plug this heater into an outlet that is old, cracked, or has any loose wires or connections. Plugging this heater into a faulty outlet could result in electric arcing within the outlet that could cause the outlet to overheat or catch fire.

  • ALWAYS check your heater cord and plug connections with each use!

    • MAKE SURE the plug fits tight in the outlet! Faulty wall outlet connections or loose plugs can cause the outlet to overheat.
    • Heaters draw more current than small appliances. Overheating may occur even if it
    • not occurred with the use of other appliances.
    • During use check frequently to see if the plug outlet or faceplate is HOT!
    • If the outlet or faceplate is HOT, discontinue use immediately and have a qualified electrician inspect and/or replace the faulty outlets.
      The cord supplied with the heater has a plug with two blades (live and neutral) and one round pin (ground). If a 3-slot receptacle is not available, an adapter MUST be used. The adapter MUST be properly grounded to the outlet box (see figure at right).

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION: While the heater is in use, the top center of the fireplace can get hot to the touch, and may cause serious injury or burns. Always supervise small children around the fireplace/heater.
Do not place any cloth or decorations over the heater outlet of the fireplace, or otherwise obstruct the heater outlet of the fireplace, as this may cause a fire and serious injury may result.

This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
This heater is for use on 120 volt circuits and has a grounded plug. An adapter is available for connecting three-blade grounding type plugs to two- slot receptacles. The green grounding lug extending from
the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box.
The adapter should not be used if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available.

ASSEMBLY

STEP 1
Take out the unit from the box and layout all the spare parts for easy assembly. Make sure all small items are not left in packaging materials.

CAUTION
This unit has a glass front panel. Use extreme caution when handling glass to prevent personal injury or damage.

STEP 2
Carefully set the unit from the back of the mantel and center it in the opening. Check the alignment and attach the unit to the mantel by inserting screws through the Z brackets onto the trim of the mantel.

NOTE: Do not attempt to install the unit from the front of the mantel. It will not fit.

USER INSTRUCTION (CONTROL PANEL)

Control Panel
The control panel is located on the top right corner of the unit.

Power ON / OFF
Press the power button to turn on the unit. Press again to turn off the unit.

NOTE: There is a thermostat limiter inside the unit. When the inner temperature is too hot, the unit will automatically turn off to avoid damage to the product or risk of fire.

CAUTION
DO NOT unplug the unit when it is still “ON”

Flame Control
Press the flame control button to rotate and set flame effect levels. The flame setting are as follows.

NOTE: When the heater is turned on, the flame effect level can only rotate and set between High, Medium, and Low.

Heater Control

Press the heater control to turn on and off the heater.
When the heater is turned on, press and hold the heater control button for 5 seconds to enter temperature adjustment mode. The LED indicator is red. In adjustment mode, the display will flashes. There are 22 levels to change Fahrenheit temperature (ON, 62°F – 82°F). After this is set, the display will flash 5 times and exit from setting status.
To switch from degree Fahrenheit to degree Celsius, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds when the heater is turned on. The LED indicator will turn to green. There are 12 levels to change Celsius temperature (ON, 17°C – 27°C). Repeat the same process to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit.

NOTE: Degree Fahrenheit will be displayed in RED and degree Celsius will be displayed in Green.

Timer Control
Press the timer button to turn the timer on. The timer function can controls both the flame effect and heater. The timer can set as the table suggested below.

NOTE:

  • Timer only controls heater if only the heater is on before timer is set.
  • Timer only controls flame effect function if only the flame effect function is on before timer is set.
  • Timer can control both heater and flame effect function if both are on before timer is set

USER INSTRUCTION (REMOTE CONTROL)

Remote Control
The operation of the remote control buttons work the same as the button on the control panel. NOTE: The remote control cannot be used to switch between degree Fahrenheit and degree Celsius.

Install / Replace Battery
The remote control is provided with 2 AAA batteries.

  1. Press and slide off the back cover from the remote control.
  2. Insert 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment and make sure to install batteries in the correct polarity.
  3. The negative end of the battery should be install against the spring inside the battery compartment.into position.
    NOTE: Remove battery from remote control if not use for an extended period of time.

CAUTION/WARNING

  • Dispose old/used battery at a suitable recycling point or according to local regulations.
  • DO NOT ingest battery. If accidentally swallowed, seek for medical help immediately.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

  • Always disconnect from the power supply before cleaning the heater. First turn off the main power. Then remove the electrical plug from the wall outlet.
  • Do not use this fireplace insert if any part of it has been under water. Immediately call a qualified service technician to inspect the firebox and replace any part of the electrical system which has been under water.

The blower motor and flame motor are pre-lubricated for a durable using time and need no further lubrication or maintenance. To remove any accumulation of dust or fluff the soft brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner should occasionally be used to clean the outlet grille of the fan heater.

  • Use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting.
  • Use a clean soft cloth dampened with warm water to clean the fireplace surface.
  • DO NOT use household or abrasive cleaners, as these products may damage the surface.
  • When cleaning the glass viewing screen use a non-abrasive damp cloth with liquid cleaner or soft soap if necessary;
  • DO NOT use cleaning powders or any other substance with abrasives since these substances will scratch glass.
  • Under no circumstances should this product be operated with a broken or chipped glass panel.
  • Do not strike or slam the glass.
  • In the event that your appliance is stained or otherwise damaged during use, we recommend that you call a professional to repair your furniture.
  • When not in use please unplug the cord from the outlet to prevent any damage or accidental plug of the cord.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution

The unit does not turn on.

| Make sure the unit is plugged into a standard 120V grounded power source.

Press the power button on the control panel.

Flame effect is on, but there is no flame effect| Open the top and back panel to check if the flame spindle has fallen off from the spindle motor.

The heater does not blow warm air

| Make sure the set temperature is higher than the room temperature.

The heater does not work

| Turn all switches to OFF and unplug the unit for 5 minutes.

Plug the unit back to power and operate as normal.

Error Code E3 shown on the indicator

| Reset the unit by unplugging the unit from power source for 5 minutes and then plug it back.

Remote control does not work

| Use it closer to the unit / change battery / remove insulating plastic sheet.
