OVERVIEW
- Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw
- Remove the battery Cover
- Install 4 x AAA batteries
- Install the battery cover And tighten the screws
Start Guide
- There is a battery cover at the bottom of the walkie talkie, which can be opened with a screwdriver to install the battery.
- You need to install four AAA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.
- Cover the battery cover and align it with the buckle, push it to the left, press it down, and then loosen the screws.
- Press the Power/Menu key for 3-4 seconds to start the walkie talkie.
- Press [MENU] to enter the channel settings, the channel number starts flashing, and press key to select the channel. Press PTT key to save the setting.
- Press [MENU] twice to enter Group mode(CTCSS), The group code on the display screen starts flashing. Press key to select the group.
- Press [MENU] for 3 times to enter VOX function. There are OFF,1,2,3 there 3 gear sensitivity optional. Press the key to select.
- Press [MENU] for 4 times to enter the CALL tone selection. There are 1 to 10 tones available.
- Press [MENU] for 5 times to select Key tone, select ON to turn on the button sound, and select OFF to turn off the button sound.
- Press [MENU] for 6 times to enter the Goger tone, select ON to release (C the PTT will have a tone, the opposite choice of OFF there is no tone.
- Press MENU for 7 times and exit can also press PTT to confirm the exit menu.
Attention: This walkie talkie does not have a charging function and cannot be charger directly by placing the battery in the walkie talkie. It can only be charged from rechargeable battery in a dedicated electrical appliance. Pay attention to the positive and negative positions when installing the battery
Battery Meter
Turning your radio ON and OFF
- To turn your radio ON, press and hold the button: seconds.
- To turn your radio OFF press and hold the button for 3 seconds again.
Adjusting the Volume
- Press the button to increase the speaker volume.
- Press the button to decrease the speaker volume.
- The speaker volume level is indicated on the LCD displayed(1~8 level).
Setting a Channel
- With the radio on, press [MENU] the current channel flashes.
- Press to set the channel.
- Press PTT to save the channel setting.
Voice Signal Transmission and Reception To communicate all radios in your group must be set to the same channel and Interference Eliminator Code.To communicate,all radios in your group must be set to the same channel and Interference Eliminator Code. To talk,press and hold [PTT] Hold the radio 3-4 inches away from your mouth and speak directly into the microphone. Do not cover the microphone while talking. When you finish speaking, release PTT (press to talk,release to listen)
Special Features
Interference Eliminator Code
Interference Eliminator Codes help minimize interference by providing you with
a choice of code combinations.
To set the code for a channel
- Press [MENU] until the code starts to flash.
- Press to select the code 0-99 or 99-0.
- Press [PTTI to save the code set.
You can set a different code for each channel using this procedure.
Note:
You must set the Interference Eliminator Codes to 0 on an FRS radio that uses
Interference Eliminator Codes to communicate with other FRS radios that do not
have Interference Eliminator Codes.
TOT(TIME OUT Timer)
In order to prevent the use of the channel and save power, the walkie-talkie
has an emission limit function,then the launch time is less than 180 seconds.
When reached the default time ‚the radio stops launching with”beep” tone.
Locking the Keypad
To avoid accidentally changing your radio settings, press for 3 seconds or
until displays and there is a “beep” tone. You can turn the radio on and off,
you can’t adjust the volume,menu,and monitor channels. All other functions are
locked.To unlock the radio,press for 3 seconds or until is no longer
displayed.And there is a “beep” tone.
Note
When locking, only the PTT. are valid.
Setting and Transmitting Call Function Your radio can transmit different cal
tones to other radios in your group so you can alert them that you want to
talk.
Setting call tone
- Press [MENU] 4 times to enter the CALL tone selection.
- Press C set the call tone.
- Press [PTT1 to save.
Note: There are up to 10 tones available
Voice Operated Transmission(VOX)
Transmission is initiated by speaking into the microphone of the radio instead
of pushing the PTT button.
- Level “N”(OFF) disables, VOX Levels 1-3 set the sensitivity of the VOX circuit Use level in quiet environments, and use level 3 in very noisy environments.
- You can find the appropriate sensitivity level by speaking into the microphone
Scanning Channels
Use SCAN to monitor the transmission channel or to scan the other walkie-
talkie channel. Long press the key, and the screen will display the currently
scanned channel. When a signal is detected, the scanning will stop, and you
can hear the sound of the channel. At this point, press the PPT key to start
the talks.
Note: During scanning, press the key to change the direction of the scan
.
