Product Information
The Courtyard Stainless Steel Liner is a kit designed for use with specific Hearth & Home Technologies products. It is compatible with the following models: ODCOUG-36NR, ODCOUG-36TS, ODCOUG-42NR, and ODCOUG-42TS. The kit includes stainless steel panels that are used to line the interior of the appliance.
Before beginning installation, it is important to check with your local building code agency to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations. This may include obtaining permits and scheduling follow-up inspections. If you have any questions or encounter any issues during installation, it is recommended to contact your Hearth & Home Technologies dealer for assistance.
Please note that some models may require the removal of a screen panel, log assembly, or refractory before installing the stainless steel liner kit.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the appliance has cooled completely if it has been in operation.
- If installed, remove the grate, log set, media, and refractory by following the specific instructions for each component.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver as the required tool for the installation process.
- To remove the rear refractory panel, first, remove the Burner Rear Cover by unscrewing the three screws securing it. Lift the cover and set it aside.
- Tilt the top edge of the rear refractory panel towards the center of the appliance and lift it out.
- Clean any debris left from the refractory panels using a shop vac or small brush to ensure a flat surface for the stainless steel panels to sit upon.
- Remove the right and left side covers by unscrewing the two screws securing each cover. Pull the side covers towards the center of the appliance and remove them.
- Remove the protective coating from the new stainless steel panels.
- Lift the rear stainless panel up and over the rear edge of the burner assembly, placing it against the appliance’s rear wall. Reinstall the Burner Rear Cover using the three screws that were removed earlier.
- Hold the rear stainless panel in place while installing the Burner Rear Cover.
- Repeat the process for installing the left stainless panel.
- Use a cleaner specifically designed for stainless steel. Apply the cleaner to a terry cloth and wipe the appliance following the grain of the stainless steel. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the appliance. Remove any fingerprints present after installation.
- Reinstall the grate, log set, and media.

This Stainless Steel Liner kit is designed for use on the models shown in the chart above. Read these instructions thoroughly before beginning installation.
- CAUTION: Allow the appliance to cool completely if it has been in operation.
- NOTE: Some models may require removal of a screen panel, log assembly or refractory before installation of the stainless liner kit.
KIT CONTENTS
- (1) Rear Stainless Steel Panel
- (1) Left Stainless Steel Panel
- (1) Right Stainless Steel Panel
- (4) #8 x 1/2″ Screws
TOOL REQUIRED
- Phillips head screwdriver
INSTRUCTIONS
Remove grate, Log Set, Media and Refractory:

Remove grate, log set and media, if installed.

Remove refractory, if installed, by removing brackets at the top and bottom of each side panel. See Figure 1. Tilt refractory top edge towards the center of the appli-ance and lift out. Repeat on other side.

To remove rear refractory, it is necessary to remove the Burner Rear Cover. Remove (3) screws securing cover, lift cover to remove and set aside. See Figure 2.

To remove rear refractory panel, tilt top edge towards the center of the appliance and lift out.

Use a shop vac or small brush to clean debris left from refractory panels to ensure a flat surface for the stainless steel panels to sit upon.
Remove Side Covers: -
Remove screws (2) securing the right and left side covers. Pull side covers towards to the center of the appliance and remove them. See Figure 3.
Note: Side covers will no longer be needed. -
Carefully remove the protective coating from the new stainless steel panels.

Lift rear stainless panel up and over the rear edge of the burner assembly, and place the panel against appliance’s rear wall. Reinstall Burner Rear Cover with (3) screws removed in Step 3. See Figure 4.
Note: Rear stainless panel is secured in place by the side panels and will need to be held in place while installing Burner Rear Cover. -
Position right stainless panel against firebox side and slide towards the rear of the firebox until side panel con-tacts the rear panel. Secure right side panel with (2) screws provided. See Figure 5.

Repeat for left stainless panel Installation. See Figure 6.

Using cleaner designed for use on stainless steel. Ap-ply cleaner to a terry cloth and wipe appliance following the grain of the stainless. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the appliance. Remove any fingerprints present after installation.

Reinstall grate, log set and media.
