Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before starting the installation process, ensure that the power is switched off to avoid the risk of electrical shock.
  2. It is recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified electrician when making the wire connections to the junction box for proper and safe installation.
  3. Carefully unpack the fixture and inspect all components for any damage or missing parts.
  4. Identify the desired location for installing the fixture and ensure it is suitable for the weight and dimensions of the product.
  5. Attach the mounting bracket to the junction box securely using the provided screws or as specified in the installation manual. Ensure that it is level and properly aligned.
  6. Connect the wires from the fixture to the corresponding wires in the junction box, following the color-coded or labeled markings for proper connection. Use wire nuts or other appropriate connectors to secure the connections.
  7. Gently tuck the wires into the junction box and carefully position the fixture over the mounting bracket. Align the mounting holes on the fixture with the screws on the bracket.
  8. Securely tighten the screws to hold the fixture in place. Ensure that it is level and properly aligned.
  9. Install any additional components or accessories included with the fixture, such as shades or diffusers, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
  10. Once all installation steps are completed, restore power to the fixture and test its functionality. Ensure that all lights are working correctly.
  11. Regularly clean and maintain the fixture as recommended in the product manual to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Installation Instruction

WARNING : To avoid risk of electrical shock, be sure to shut off power while installing or servicing this fixture.
NOTE : We advise calling a qualified electrician when making the wire connections to the junction box.

WARNING

  1. Shut off the power to the area where you will be working.
  2. Use 60Watt maximum type A bulb.
  3. Do not use polish or cleaner on the fixture. Wipe with soft cloth.

IMPORTANT NOTICE : THERE ARE 2 WAYS TO INSTALL THIS CHANDELIER: PORTABLE WIRE (STEP 3) OR FIXED WIRE (STEP 4). FOR FIXED WIRE INSTALLATION, WE ADVISE CALLING A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN WHEN MAKING THE WIRE CONNECTIONS TO THE JUNCTION BOX.AFLighting-9133-1P-One-Light-Pendant-

STEP 3 – PORTABLE WIRE INSTALLATION
NOTE: Cut off the fixture copper ground wire. Installation should not be made on a radiant-heating ceiling. The hooks are to engage the chain only and not the electric wire.

INSTALL HOOKS

(PACKET INCLUDED TWO HOOKS)
For plaster or plaster board ceilings:

  1. Drill a hole in the ceiling the same diameter as the closed flaps of the enclosed toggle bolt (A).
  2. Insert flaps and bolt into the ceiling with the toggle bolt protruding through the ceiling lock the assembly by threading on the hook as shown.
  3. Drape your chain to second hook or let it hang straight.

For wood or acoustic board ceilings: (min size is 1-1/2″ thick)

  1. Select a place on the ceiling where a wood beam exists.
  2. Thread the steel screw (B) into hook (C).
  3. Screw the assembly into the wood beam.
  4. Drape your chain on second hook or let it hang straight.

ATTACH CHANDELIER TO THE CHAIN

  1. Open the lock link (K1), connect to the fixture loop (J) and chain link and close the lock link (K1).
  2. Once chain & wire are connected, plug the wire plug into household electrical outlet.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This portable lamp has a polarized plug a (one blade is wider than the other.) As a safety feature this plug will fit a polarized a outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it will still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. Do not attempt to disable this safety feature.

STEP4 – FIX WIRE INSTALLATION NOTE:

  1. Thread nipple (C) into loop (F) until snug.
  2. Thread other end of nipple (C) with loop attached into crossbar (D) until snug.
  3. Place lock washer (B) over end of nipple protruding through crossbar and thread hex nut (A) onto nipple until tight.
  4. Take this crossbar assembly and mount to ceiling junction box with junction box threads (E), tighten thread securely with screwdriver.
  5. Open the lock link (K1), connect to the fixture loop (J) and chain link and close the lock link (K1).
  6. Lace the fixture wires through the chain. Slip loop collar (H) over the chain, then do the same with canopy (G).
  7. Open the end link (K) of the chain and hang the fixture on the loop (F), and close the link (K).
  8. Cut the wire plug off. Feed the fixture wires through the loop (F), and nipple (C) and pull until taut.
  9. Connect fixture wire to the wire from junction box with wire connectors. See paragraph below.
  10. Push canopy (G) up against ceiling and secure with loop collar (H).

WIRE CONNECTION

FOR WIRE CONNECTION BE SURE TO CONNECT: FIXTURE SMOOTH WIRE TO THE BLACK HOUSE WIRE; FIXTURE RIBBED WIRETO THE WHITE HOUSE WIRE; AND FIXTURE GROUND WIRE TO SUPPLY GROUND WIRE WITH WIRE CONNECTORS OR THE FIXTURE GROUND WIRE TO THE GREEN GROUND SCREW ON THE MOUNTING BRACKET.
