Product Introduction

Charging

1. It is recommended that the battery should be fully charged before installation.
2. Uncover the waterproof rubber plug then turn the switch to “OFF” to maximize the charging efficiency during charging.
3. Charge the battery by plugging it into the provided power adapter (DC_5V/2A) with its cord. The lit red indicator light means the battery is charging, and it will be off when battery is fully charged. ” It is recommended to charge the battery more than 8 hours before first using.

Preparation Before Using
After battery is fully charged, turn the solar panel power switch to the “ON”, then cover the waterproof rubber plug.

Device initialization

1. Power supply types: Solar panel: Connect to the device through the Battery power supply connector.
   1. DC_5V/2A power adapter supply: Connect the adapter power cord to the 5V Micro USB
   2. connector of the device.

2. Press and hold the reset button for several seconds, the device will prompt “Reset completed” and the indicator red light will flash slowly, which means the reset is successful.

Device indicator Light

1. Indicator is off: device is powered off or standby mode;
2. Slow flashing red light: device is ready for connecting;
3. Quick flashing red light: device is connecting to the router;
4. Solid yellow light: device has been connected to the Internet;
5. Flashing yellow light: device is connecting to the Internet. If the device cannot connect to the Internet normally, please check whether the router can access the Internet normally.

Install xiaovv APP
Download and install xiaow from the APP Store or scan the QR code

Scan the QR code to download xiaow APP

Add Camera

1. Open xiaow APP to register your account and log in.
2. Click the “+” icon and scan the QR code on the device.

Note: Each APP version may different, please follow the prompts in the latest version of xiaow APP to set up the camera.
Confirm that the device is ready for configuration
When the device indicator red light flashes slowly, please click “Light is flashing” in the APR

Wi-Fi selection

1. Connect your mobile phone to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi first;
2. Confirm the connected Wi-Fi and enter the password.

Note: Please select Wi-Fi without “5G”. The Wi-Fi name should not contain any special characters.
QR code configuration

1. The APP will generate the QR code and then use device to scan this QR code.
2. After the device identifies the QR code successfully, it will prompt “Received configuration information, Wi-Fi connecting”.
3. Click “I have heard the tone” in the APP after hearing that tone.

Camera networking & Adding completed
Please wait patiently for the device to connect to the network. The device is successfully networked when it prompts “Wi-Fi connection completed”.
Hotspot configuration

1. After “Wi-Fi selection”, you can use “AP hotspot connection”.
2. Then follow the instruction to complete the network configuration.
3. After the hotspot connection is successful, back to the APP, the device will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi.
4. At the same time, the device will prompt “Received configuration information, Wi-Fi connecting, Wi-Fi connection completed”.

Live View
You can use Live View in the APP when the device is online.

Mounting Type

Integrated Mounting

1. Paste the mounting template on the wall.
2. Drill holes in the wall according to the marker on the mounting template, the hole diameter is about 6mm, and the hole depth is about 26mm.
3. Insert the anchors into the drilled holes.
4. Before mounting, insert the hexagonal nut into the hexagonal hole on the back of the bracket, and then secure the bracket on the wall using the provided screws.

Notice
The wall must be able to bear the weight of 3 cameras.

Separated Mounting

1. Paste the mounting template on the wall.
2. Drill holes in the wall according to the marker on the mounting template, the hole diameter is about 6mm, and the hole depth is about 26mm.
3. Insert the anchors into the drilled holes.
4. Secure the bracket on the wall using the provided screws.
5. Slide the device into the bracket slot and slide down to lock in place.

Notice
The wall must be able to bear the weight of 3 cameras.

Tips on PIR motion detection:
PIR motion detection: the device detects infrared rays radiated by the human body based on a passive infrared sensor(PI R) to trigger an alarm.
“PIR sensitivity” can be set in the “settings”. To use in an environment with heavy traffic, it is recommended to disable “PIR sensitivity” or set it to low to avoid unnecessary wake-ups to extend the battery life of the device.
Off: In this state, the device will not be awakened by PIR detection.
High: Wake up the device and alarm every time it is triggered.
Medium: When it is continuously triggered for 3 seconds, it will wake up and alarm.
Low: When it is continuously triggered for 5 seconds, it will wake up and alarm.

Precautions:

For new devices, please fully charge the battery first, and the first charging time should be more than 8 hours;
For devices with solar energy, try to install the solar panel in a location with sufficient sunlight when installing. This can increase battery life;
*Please try to keep the surface of the solar panel as clean as possible. Moss, dust, etc. covering the surface of the solar panel will affect the power generation efficiency.
