Safety Instructions

Caution : Risk of injury!

  • This product has detailed reproduction and may have peaks, edges, and breakable parts. Use appropriate installation tools.
  • Electrical hazard: Never insert the connecting wires into a power socket. Regularly inspect the transformer for any damage and do not use it if damaged.
  • Ensure the power supply is switched off when mounting the device and connecting the cables.
  • Only use VDE/EN tested special model train transformers for power supply to prevent the risk of burning cables.

Using the Product for its Correct Purpose:

  • This product is intended for installation in H0 model vehicles.
  • It operates with a power supply of up to 16V AC/DC.
  • Use the product only in dry rooms.
  • Using the product for any other purpose is not approved and may result in damage. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage caused by improper use.

Installation

Installation directly on the roof:

  • Apply a small amount of super glue to the bottom of the Rundumleuchte (Rotating flashing light) (see Fig. 2).
  • Arrange the cables inside the vehicle and secure them at various points using adhesive if necessary.

Installation using a bracket:

  • Arrange the cables inside the vehicle and secure them at various points using adhesive if necessary.

Connection

  • Connect the Rundumleuchte (Rotating flashing light) to the control electronics (see Fig. 9).
  • To place the control electronics under the layout board, drill a hole with a diameter of 4.5 mm below the vehicle (see Fig. 12).

Safety instructions

Caution: Risk of injury!

  • Due to the detailed reproduction of the original and the in-tended use, this product can have peaks, edges and break-able parts. For installation tools are required.
  • Electrical hazard:
    • Never put the connecting wires into a power socket! Reg-ularly examine the transformer for damage. In case of any damage, do not use the transformer!
    • Make sure that the power supply is switched off when you mount the device and connect the cables! Only use VDE/EN tested special model train transformers for the power supply! The power sources must be protected to prevent the risk of burning cables.

Checking the package contents

Check the contents of the package for completeness:

  • Rotating flashing light with LED and control electronics
  • 2 brackets
  • Manual

Mounting

Test the function prior to mounting. Follow Chapter 3.

Mounting directly onto the roof:

  • Drill a hole at the mounting site with a diameter of 2.5 mm (fig. 1).
  • Apply a little glue to the underside of the rotating flashing light (fig. 2).VIESSMANN-3570-Emergency-light-Assembly kit-fig-1
  • Insert the cable through the hole and then fit in the flashing light (fig. 3).
  • Arrange the cables inside the vehicle and fasten them in some spots with a little glue, if necessary.

Mounting with a bracket:

  • Plug the bracket into the adapter ring up to the stop (fig. 5). If needed, the bracket may be shortened.

  • Drill a hole at the mounting site with a diameter of 1.5 mm (fig. 7.1/7.2).VIESSMANN-3570-Emergency-light-Assembly kit-fig-4
  • Insert the cables and the bracket from above through the hole. Fasten the flashing light with some glue to the mounting site (fig. 8.1/8.2).VIESSMANN-3570-Emergency-light-Assembly kit-fig-5
  • Arrange the cables inside the vehicle and fasten them in some spots with a little glue, if necessary.

Connection

  • Connect the rotating flashing light with the control electronics (fig. 9).
  • Connect the control electronics acc. to fig. 10 to a model train transformer (item 5200).

  • If the rotating flashing light works as desired, put the shrink tubes over the joints and heat them up shortly with a hot air gun or a gas lighter (fig. 11).VIESSMANN-3570-Emergency-light-Assembly kit-fig-6
  • In order to hide the control electronics underneath the layout, drill a hole of 4.5 mm diam. beneath the vehicle (fig. 12).VIESSMANN-3570-Emergency-light-Assembly kit-fig-7
