HOME DECOR Soft Close and Sliding Doors
Product Information
The product is a sliding door system with soft close feature. It includes fixings for installation, but additional tools such as suitable screws and plugs are required. The product is manufactured by Home Decor GB Ltd, located in Sheffield, UK. Please note that some components may slightly differ aesthetically but will fit in the same way as shown in the instructions.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before installation, wear suitable gloves when handling and cleaning the product.
- Check the opening for any hidden electrical wires and water pipes before screwing.
- Ensure you have suitable screws and plugs for your walls, floor, and ceiling construction to fit the track. Screws are not supplied.
- Use Fixing Pack B for installation.
- Fit both parts of the soft close together as shown in the instructions.
- Insert and tighten the nuts and bolts on both sides of the soft close assembly.
- Insert the provided M4 screws using the washers and screw on the cams without tightening all the way yet.
- Align and centralize the soft close in the center of the top rail and slot the cams into the gap in the top rail.
- Using an Allen key, tighten both cams to lock them into place. Ensure the soft close doesn’t slide, but don’t over tighten.
- Prime the soft close by sliding the nib fully across until you hear a click. Leave a 5mm gap between the unit and top guide wheels to ensure they move freely.
- Using a pencil, transfer the indicator mark from the soft close unit onto the door. This mark will be used to align the soft close pin later on.
- To assemble the soft close pin, align the steel plate to the plastic base and insert the screw. Tighten with an Allen key.
- For installation of multiple doors, follow the plan view for the relevant number of doors.
- Screw the top track to the ceiling with equal spacing.
- Position the bottom track on the floor without fixing it yet.
- When the doors are in the relevant channels and in the closed position, the soft close unit should follow the configurations shown in the instructions.
- Insert the door into the back channel of the top and bottom tracks.
- Position the door on both sides of the track and level up by moving the bottom track. Mark the floor once in position.
- Remove the doors and fix the bottom track. Measure in 100mm from both ends of the track and space out evenly across its length (approximately 500mm).
- Measure in 37mm from your line and mark another line for the placement of your track fixing disks. Fix them by screwing into the floor using suitable fixings.
- Re-insert one sliding door at a time onto the tracks.
- Position each door into place and transfer the indicator mark from the door onto the top track.
- Slide each door out of the way and position the pin according to the indicator mark for each door.

ASSEMBLY

Fit both parts of the soft close together as shown above. 2. Insert and tighten the nuts and bolts on both sides. Insert the 2x M4 screws (a) using the washers (b) provided. Screw on the cams but don’t tighten all the way yet.

Align and centralise the soft close in the centre of the top rail and slot the cams into the gap in the top rail.

1- Using an Allen key, tighten both the cams so they lock into place. (Ensure the soft close doesn’t slide, but don’t over tighten).
2- Prime the soft close by sliding the nib fully across until you hear a click.
IMPORTANT: Do not push the unit up against the top guide wheels, leave a 5mm gap. Ensure they move freely. -
Using a pencil, transfer the indicator mark from the soft close unit onto the door. This will be used to align the soft close pin later on.

To assemble the soft close pin, align the steel plate to the plastic base (as shown). Insert the screw and tighten with an Allen key.

When the doors are in the relevant channels and in the closed position the soft close unit should follow the configurations above.

1- Screw top track to ceiling, using equal spacing.
2- Position bottom track on the floor. (Do not fix yet). -
Insert door into back channel of top and bottom tracks.

Position door on both sides of the track and level up. (Do this by moving the bottom track). Mark the floor once in position.

Remove the doors and fix the bottom track. IMPORTANT: For all track types, measure in 100mm from both ends and then space out evenly across the length of the track (approx 500mm).
b. Measure in 37mm from your line and mark another line for the placement of your track fixing disks. Fix by screwing into the floor using suitable fixings. -

Re-insert ONE sliding door at a time onto the tracks.

Position the door into place.

Transfer the indicator mark from the door onto the top track.

Slide the door out of the way and position the pin using the indicator mark (making sure the pin is facing in the correct direction).

Push the pin towards the back wall of the top track.

Mark through each screw hole and drill pilot holes.

Fix pin as shown using screws provided (a).
IMPORTANT: Make sure the pin is positioned against the indicator mark. Make sure the pins are orientated in the right direction. -
To alter the height and angle of each door, adjust the bottom wheels using a 4mm Allen key.

If the door doesn’t engage the soft close, then adjust the pin (as shown). Use an Allen key to adjust the height (up or down).
A GUIDE TO FIXINGS
- Wall & Ceiling Fixings: You must first identify the type of wall or ceiling you intend to fix product onto and then contact your local hardware store if the fixings supplied are not suited to your wall or ceiling type. Care and Maintenance: Safety: Always check the fitting and location to ensure your safety in and around the home. Fitting: From time to time check the fitting to ensure the wall plugs or screws do not become loose.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: When drilling into walls always check that there are no hidden wires or pipes etc. Make sure that the screws and plugs being used are suitable for supporting your unit. Always consult a qualified trades person if you are unsure
1. **Tips: 1.** Ensure you use the recommended drill bit to match the wall plug and hole size.
2. **Tips: 2.** Ensure you drill the hole straight, do not force the drill or enlarge the hole.
3. **Tips: 3.** Take extra care when drilling high walls, ceilings and ceramic tiles. Ensure wall plugs are inserted beyond the thickness of the ceramic tiles to avoid the tiles splitting or cracking.
4. **Tips: 4.** Ensure wall plugs are well fitted and are a tight fit in the drilled hole.
Types Of Structures:
You can use one of the following types of wall plug if your walls are made
of brick, breeze block, concrete, stone or wood.

General Purpose / Concrete or Block Work wall plug.
Provided in pack.
Generally aerated blocks should not be used to support heavy loads, use a specialist fitting in this case. For light loads, general purpose wall plugs can be used. -
Plasterboard wall plug.
Provided in pack.
For use when attaching light loads on to plasterboard partitions. -
Cavity Fixing wall plug.
NOT supplied.
For use with plasterboard partitions or hollow wooden doors. -
Wooden Structure.
Screws provided.
If you know you are fixing directly into a wooden batten, the screws provided do not require a plug.
