Product Information: MX Series
The MX Series is a cabinet door replacement kit offered by Carmanah Technologies Corp. It is designed for use with the MX 300 and MX 400 cabinets. The kit includes replacement doors, rivets, and other necessary components.
MX 300 Cabinet Door Replacement
- Disconnect the green grounding wire ring terminal at the bottom of the cabinet door if applicable.
- Using a 0.191 drill bit, drill out the three rivets securing the door hinge to the cabinet. Remove the door.
- Make sure all rivets have been cleared from the mounting holes and remove any metal debris from the MX 300 cabinet.
- Align the hinge holes on the replacement door with the holes on the cabinet and fasten them with the provided rivets. Ensure that the rivets protrude completely through the cabinet before riveting.
- If the green grounding ring terminal was removed in step 1, reconnect it.
- Restore power to the system.
Ensure that the door is fully closed and locked. Failure to follow these steps can result in the door not fully closing and latching, which may cause damage or injury if the door hinge rivets fail.
MX 400 Cabinet Door Replacement
- Remove the green grounding wire ring terminal at the top of the cabinet door if applicable.
- Using a 0.191 drill bit, drill out the four rivets securing the door hinge to the cabinet. Remove the door.
- Make sure all rivets have been cleared from the mounting holes and remove any metal debris from the MX 400 cabinet.
- If you have an optional draw latch kit, follow steps 4-6; otherwise, proceed to step 7.
- Remove the four screws securing the lock on the replacement door. Discard the lock and screws.
- Remove the hole plug, wing nut, and washer from the existing door.
- Install the hole plug into the replacement door. Place the hole plug washer and wing nut on the inside of the replacement door.
- Align the hinge holes on the replacement door with the holes on the cabinet and fasten them with the provided rivets. Ensure that the rivets protrude completely through the cabinet before riveting.
- Reconnect the green grounding wire removed in step 1.
- Restore power to the system.
Ensure that the door is fully closed and locked. Failure to follow these steps can result in the door not fully closing and latching, which may cause damage or injury if the door hinge rivets fail.

MX 300 & 400 CABINET DOOR REPLACEMENT
- Disconnect power to system:
- Solar only: disconnect solar connector and then battery connector.
- MX 300 AC Cabinet Module: open fuse holder.
- MX 400 AC Cabinet Module: turn off breaker.
1.0 MX 300 Cabinet Door Replacement

AC only: remove green grounding wire ring terminal at bottom of cabinet door.

Drill out three rivets securing door hinge to cabinet using a 0.191″ drill bit, and remove door.

Ensure all rivets have been cleared from mounting holes and all metal debris has been removed from MX 300 cabinet.

Align hinge holes on replacement door with holes on cabinet and fasten with three rivets provided. Ensure rivets protrude completely through cabinet before riveting.

Reconnect green grounding ring terminal if removed.

Reapply power to system.
Ensure door is fully closed and locked. Failure to follow these steps can result in the door not fully closing and latching. This can result in the door staying ajar and possible damage or injury resulting in door hinge rivets failing.
MX 400 Cabinet Door Replacement

Remove green grounding wire ring terminal at top of cabinet door.

Drill out four rivets securing door hinge to cabinet using a 0.191″ drill bit, and remove door.

Ensure all rivets have been cleared from mounting holes and all metal debris has been removed from MX 400 cabinet.

Remove four screws securing lock on replacement door. Remove and discard lock and screws.

Remove hole plug, wing nut and washer from existing door.

Install hole plug into replacement door. Hole plug washer and wing nut go on inside of replacement door.

Align hinge holes on replacement door with holes on cabinet and fasten with four rivets provided. Ensure rivets protrude completely through the cabinet before riveting.

Reconnect green grounding wire removed in step 1.

Reconnect power to system.
Ensure door is fully closed and locked. Failure to follow these steps can result in the door not fully closing and latching. This can result in the door staying ajar and possible damage or injury resulting in door hinge rivets failing.
