Product Usage Instructions
Battery Removal and
Installation: Make sure the unit is turned Off. – Locate the battery cover
on the back of the electronic module. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw
and then open up the battery cover. Remove old batteries by pulling up one
end of each battery. Install 2 new AAA batteries following the diagram inside
the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged
Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended) Replace the battery cover and
tighten the screw to secure it.

Adult assembly is required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of
reach of children.
Disposal of batteries and product
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or on their
respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed of in domestic waste
as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human
health. – The chemical symbols Hg, Cd, or Pb, where marked, indicate that the
battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd),
or lead (Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation. The solid
bar indicates that the product was placed on the market after 13th August
2005. – Please dispose of your product and batteries responsibly. In the UK,
give this toy a second life by disposing of it at a small electrical

Instructions for Surface Washing
The Cuddle & Play Koala is surface washable only. – Please remove the
Electronic Module from the koala before cleaning. – Open the hook-and-loop
closure on the back of the koala and remove the Electronic Module. – Wipe down
the koala with a damp cloth. – After surface washing, re-insert the Electronic
Module and secure the hook-and-loop closure.
Product Features
On/Off/Volume Switch: To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off/Volume Switch to
the Low volume or the High volume position. You will hear a song, a phrase,
and a short tune. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/Volume Switch to the
Off position. – Automatic Shut-Off: To preserve battery life, the Cuddle &
Play Koala will automatically shut off after approximately 35 seconds without
input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the Heart Button or by
activating the Motion Sensor.

should be discarded for your child’s safety.

Keep this soft toy out of the sleeping environment for babies under twelve
months to avoid suffocation risk.

Remove the product from the Infant Carrier when the vehicle is moving.
GETTING STARTED
Battery Removal and Installation
- Make sure the unit is turned Off.
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the electronic module. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open up the battery cover.
- Remove old batteries by pulling up one end of each battery.
- Install 2 new AAA batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended)
- Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure it.

BATTERY NOTICE
- Use new alkaline batteries or fully charged NI-MH (Nickel Metal-hydride) rechargeable batteries for best performance.
- Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.
- Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable, or new and used batteries.
- Do not use damaged batteries.
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
- Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if removable).
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.

PRODUCT FEATURES
On/Off/Volume Switch
To turn the unit On, slide the On/ Off/Volume Switch to the Low volume or the High volume position. You will hear a song, a phrase, and a short tune. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/Volume Switch to the Off position.
Automatic Shut-Off
To preserve battery life, the Cuddle & Play Koala will automatically shut off
after approximately 35 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again
by pressing the Heart Button, or by activating the Motion Sensor. Triggering
the motion sensor continuously for approximately 10 minutes without any other
input will cause the unit to shut off. Press the Heart Button to turn the unit
back on.
NOTE
If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install
a new set of batteries.
ACTIVITIES
Heart Button
Press the Heart Button to hear about the koala and to hear sing-along songs,
playful sounds, and melodies. The light will flash with the sound.
Motion Sensor
Shake the koala to activate the motion sensor and hear a variety of playful
sounds and short tunes. If a melody is playing, activate the motion sensor to
hear fun sounds play over the melody. The light will flash with the sound.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
- The plush koala is surface washable only. Please remove the Electronic Module from the koala before cleaning.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:
- Please turn the unit OFF.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit sit for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play with again.
- If the product still does not work, install a brand-new set of batteries. If the problem persists, please contact our Consumer Services department, and a service representative will be happy to help you.
