Charging the Battery
To charge the product’s battery, follow these steps:
- Connect the charging cable to the charging port located on the device.
- Plug the other end of the cable into a power source.
- Wait until the battery is fully charged. The charging indicator will change from red to green when the process is complete.
- Disconnect the charging cable from both the device and the power source.

Charging
- Before using your SoundBound Splash Grip Speaker, please charge using the included micro USB cable.
Please note: Most USB chargers are compatible with SoundBound Splash Grip Speaker. For optimal AC charging, please use a 1.0A USB Charger.
On/Off
- Splash Grip Speaker can be powered On or Off by a long press on the “Power On/Off” multifunction button of the Splash Grip Speaker.
Please note: (In case the battery voltage is too low, the red light will flicker & the speaker will automatically shut down. If insufficient power is available, the speaker will need to be re-charged prior to powering back on)
Pairing
- After switching the “Power On/Off/M” button, the Splash Grip Speaker will Power On & automatically enter “Bluetooth® Mode” for pairing. A blue light will rapidly blink on the Splash Grip Speaker.
- On your Mobile Device, search for the “Bluetooth® Menu.” A list of available devices will show available for pairing. Select ” BTS Speaker” & the speaker will automatically pair with your device for use.
- Once paired to your mobile device the Splash Grip Speaker will automatically re-pair if shut down or powered off and back on.
Please note : If the Excursion Rugged Explorer Speaker does not show up in your Bluetooth® menu please turn off Bluetooth® on your mobile device & turn back on. Sometimes, Bluetooth® needs to refresh/reset to recognize available devices for pairing.
Volume/ Audio Track Functions
- Raise Volume by long press multifunction button “Raise Volume/ Switch Tracks” or by pressing volume button on your mobile device
- Lower Volume by long press multifunction button “Lower Volume/ Switch Tracks” or by pressing volume button on your mobile device
- To switch to the next audio track, short press “Raise Volume/ Switch Tracks” multifunction button. BT Pairing
- After Pairing mobile device, begin playing audio from mobile device to stream audio. Short single press “Play/Pause” function button to play or pause streaming audio.
Answering/ Ending Calls
- For Incoming Calls short press the “Play/Pause” multifunction button to pick up or hang up the call
- Double tap the “Play/ Pause” multifunction button to redial the last dialed number
