Product Information

The Omega and Atlas models from EVELO are bicycles that come with a rear rack and a secondary battery. This user manual provides instructions on how to install the rear rack and battery on these models. It is important to follow these instructions carefully to avoid any damage to the battery or bicycle.

  • Step 1: Removing the Light
    • To begin the installation, open the seatpost quick release and unscrew it to remove the light. Unplug the connector, then reassemble and tighten the seatpost quick release.
  • Step 2: Removing the Mounting Bolts
    • Using an allen wrench, remove the four rack mounting bolts from the frame and discard them. New, longer bolts will be included with the rack.
  • Step 3: Holding the Rack in Place
    • Remove the battery from the rack and hold the rack in place on the bike. It is crucial to remove the battery from the rack prior to installation to avoid any damage to the battery or bicycle.
  • Step 4: Installing Lower Mounting Bolts
    • Using an allen wrench, install the lower mounting bolts. Use the longer bolts provided with the rack package as the ones that came with the bike are too short to securely hold the rack.
  • Step 5: Installing Upper Mounting Bolts
    • Using an allen wrench, install the upper mounting bolts. Use the longer bolts provided with the rack package as the ones that came with the bike are too short to securely hold the rack.
  • Step 6: Connecting the Taillight
    • Connect the new taillight to the connector that was unplugged earlier. Line up the arrows on each half of the connector and push them together. Make sure the rear battery is removed and the bicycle is powered off before connecting the plugs.
  • Step 7: Plugging in the Battery
    • Open the cover and plug the battery into the frame port. Ensure that the plug orientation is correct as it will only go in one way. Again, make sure the rear battery is removed and the bicycle is powered off before connecting the plugs.
  • Step 8: Final Check
    • Your connections should now be complete. Take a look to ensure everything is properly connected and secure.

Product Usage Instructions

To charge the bike with both batteries installed, connect only the charger that came with the bike to either battery, and both batteries will be charged simultaneously. Do not plug a charger into both the main battery and the secondary battery at the same time when both are installed on the bike.
