MAGIC MESH MM741006 Hands Free Black Plastic Magnetic Mesh Screen Door

Product Information

The Magic Mesh is a hands-free screen door that allows you to easily walk through while keeping bugs out. It features a mesh screen that is attached to the door frame using hook and loop strips. The product is distributed by Allstar Innovations and is a registered trademark.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Unroll the hook and loop strips and separate them on a flat surface. There will be two narrow long strips and one wide shorter strip.
2. Lay your Magic Mesh Screen flat on the floor with the hook and loop facing up. Note that the top of the panel will have a wider horizontal strip.
3. Apply the three hook and loop strips to the sewn-in hook and loops on your Magic Mesh. Remove the white backing tape to expose the adhesive portion of the hook and loop. The wider strip should be applied on the top of the Magic Mesh, while the narrower long strips should be applied on the vertical sides.
4. Place the middle of the mesh on the previously marked center of the door frame. Press firmly from the center outward to securely attach the male and female hook and loop.
5. Firmly apply the mesh to the left and right vertical door frames starting from the top down.
6. If you find a gap between the two panels or if the panels are not closing consistently, you can adjust by raising the center of the mesh slightly. Pinch the center of the mesh and pull away from the hook and loop on the door frame. Once separated, raise the center of the mesh gradually until the magnets close on their own or until the gaps are eliminated.

IMPORTANT: Before hanging, ensure that the surface is clean of dirt and debris.

SINGLE DOORS:
Determine the proper direction to install the screen:

• If your door opens IN, install on the OUTSIDE of the door frame.
• If your door opens OUT, install on the INSIDE of the door frame.

1. Find and mark the center of the top of your door frame.

2. Unroll the hook and loops and separate them on a flat surface. There will be two narrow long hook and loop strips, and one wide shorter strip.

3. Lay your Magic Mesh Screen flat on the floor with the hook and loop facing up. Note: The top of the panel will have a wider horizontal hook and loop strip.

4. Apply the three hook and loop strips to the sewn-in hook and loops on your magic mesh. Remove the white backing tape to expose the adhesive portion of the hook and loop.
   Note: The wider strip needs to be applied on the top of the Magic Mesh (1). The narrower long strips need to be applied on the vertical sides (2 and 3).
   Pro Tip: The Magic Mesh® Screen should hang just above the ground. For best results allow a 1/8″ gap between the bottom of the Magic Mesh® Screen to prevent your screen from dragging on the ground

5. Place the middle of the mesh on the previously marked center of the door frame. Press firmly from the center outward to firmly secure male to female hook and loop.

6. Firmly apply the mesh to the left and right vertical door frames starting from the top down.

Pro Tip: If you find a gap between the two panels, or if the panels are not closing consistently, simply raise the center of the mesh slightly to eliminate the gaps. Pinch the center of the mesh and pull away from the hook and loop on the door frame. Once separated, raise the center of the mesh 1/8” as a time until magnets close on their own or until the gaps are eliminated.

PRO TIP

It is recommended to further secure the screen using theincluded wood tacks. Insert tack through each hook & loop strip, and be sure to only use them on wood frames or molding. Do not use the wood tacks on any surface other than wood. PLEASE NOTE: THE WOOD TACKS LEAVE PUNCTURE HOLES.

Cleaning and Storage:

• Do not use any harsh abrasive cleaners on this product.
• Wipe off the mesh with a damp, lukewarm cloth. For stubborn dirt, you can spot clean with a small amount of soap and a cloth. Allow the mesh to air-dry.
• Do not put in a dryer. Do not dry clean.

Important Safety Instructions

• Keep children away from the packaging material and the storage bag. There is danger of suffocation.
• Maintain an adequate distance from heat sources such as stove tops, ovens, or BBQ grills.
• Because of possible electromagnetic interference, people with implanted medical devices (e.g. pace makers) should consult their doctor before using.
• Take extra caution when using wood tacks. Keep away from children.
• Product may not function properly if not installed correctly.

SLIDING DOORS:

Important:
For sliding doors, attach the screen to the OUTSIDE of the door frame and to the STATIONARY DOOR. Removing the sliding screen door may be required if your doorway opening is less than 91.4 cms (36 inches).

1. Find and mark the center point of the top of the opening door. Measure the opening of the doorway.
   Note: If the opening is less than 91.4 cms (36 inches), we suggest removing the sliding screen door.
