Canopy Installation

Step 1

Make sure cord is passed through all components in the correct order. Adjust cord to desired length.

Step 2

Once desired cord length has been reached, and prior to electrical installation, thread the top of the long threaded rod into the hex nut on top of the canopy. Thread the bottom of the long threaded rod into the cord strain relief below it.

Step 3

Test that cord strain relief is in the correct position.
The bottom of the cord strain relief should be sitting flush to the bottom inside of the hemisphere when the hemisphere is pushed flush up to the face of the canopy.

Step 4

Once correct position of cord strain relief has been established tighten the set screw against the cord to prevent it from slipping. Continue with electrical installation and return to Step 5 when complete

Step 5

Once fixture is wired and thin canopy has been mounted to the junction box, push the hemisphere flush to the face of the canopy.

Step 6

Push the small threaded bushing up through the slip hole of the hemisphere and thread into the bottom of the cord strain relief. This will hold the hemisphere flush to the canopy.

Electrical Installation

Step 1

Shut off the main electrical supply to the junction box from the fuse box/circuit breaker. Turning power off at the switch is not sufficient.

Step 2

Thread one pair of machine screws through 3 ½” spaced holes in the backplate. Locate the junction box in the ceiling.

Step 3

Using the remaining machine screws, attach the mounting plate to the junction box with the installed screw heads facing the ceiling.

Step 4

Pull conductor through strain relief at top of canopy until at desired hanging height, secure with set screw.

Step 6

Tuck the wiring into the junction box. Carefully align the two holes in the canopy with the mounting plate screws and then slip the canopy over the mounting plate screws.

Step 7

Install bulb and return power to fixture to confirm proper function.

Shade Installation

Step 1

Allow the shaft collar on the stem to rest on the socket cluster.

Step 2

Slide slotted washer of shade onto fixture’s stem above shaft collar.

Step 3

Slide the shaft collar up until the shade washer is pressed against the check ring above.

Step 4

Secure set screw on shaft collar to hold shade in place.
