FOR RING PIN ONLY – Starting with the back of the scope, slide the Ring Pin over scope housing. Align pin with the desired slot in housing and install with the fiber optic facing the front of the scope (closest to your eye). Next install Ring Pin Retainer and tighten down snug.

FOR LENS ONLY – Starting with the back of the scope, slide the External Spacer over scope housing. Next install Ring Pin Retainer and tighten down snug. Drop Lens Spacer into back of scope housing first, followed by the Lens with the convex curvature outward toward the target. Next install Lens Retainer and tighten down snug onto Lens.

FOR RING PIN & LENS – Starting with the back of the scope, slide the Ring Pin over scope housing. Align pin with the desired slot in housing and install with the fiber optic facing the front of the scope (closest to your eye). Next install Ring Pin Retainer and tighten down snug. Drop Lens Spacer into back of scope housing first, followed by the Lens with the convex curvature outward toward the target.
*WARNING: FAILING TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN SCRATCHING THE LENS, WHICH IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
Next install Lens Retainer and tighten down snug onto Lens.

ATTACHING RHEOSTAT – The Plus Model sights will already have the Rheostat installed on the scope. For all other sight models simply remove the Ring Pin Retainer and Ring Pin. Snap the Rheostat Cover over the groove on the front side of the Ring Pin (closest to your eye). Re-install Ring Pin and Ring Pin Retainer.

ATTACHING SHADES & TORQUE INDICATOR – Sun Shades or the Torque Indicator can be installed & removed without affecting the rest of the setup. There are threads in the front of the Scope Housing, in the back of the Scope Housing, & in the back of the Lens Retainer that will accept these accessories depending on where you choose to use them.

SCOPE TO SIGHT CONNECTION – The “T” Connection that comes standard on the AVX scope provides two points of contact for a stronger more rigid connection that is easier to level. This connection is unique to AXCEL® Sights and will work with all of our hunting & tournament sights. Included also is the #10-32 Stainless Steel threaded rod for use with sights that are not AXCEL® brand. If this method will be used, remove the “T” Connection and the

10-32 set screw under the “T” – Connection. Then install the #10-32 Threaded

Rod into the center hole of the Scope Housing where the #10-32 set screw was at.

RH/LH COMPATIBILITY – The AVX scope features an interchangeable Right Hand to Left Hand option so you don’t have to worry about ordering based on dexterity. Simply, switch the Level Vial and the Level Blank (if installed) by removing the flat head screws that hold them in place. Then re-install them in the reverse order.
*To prevent cracking the Level Vial be sure not to overtighten the screws.
If using a Ring Pin, the Ring Pin will also need to be rotated from bottom to top, or to the desired location.

USING A SIGHT LIGHT – The AVX scope provides two different methods for a sight light to be used. The “T“ Connection features a small hole in the back where the fiber optic can be installed. When using a Ring Pin, pull out the fiber optic and tubing from one clip on the Ring Pin and insert it through the hole in the back of the “T” Connection. A 3/8″x 32 Thread Pitch Sight Light can be screwed into the end of the “T” Connection to provide light to the end of the fiber. The AVX scopes also feature an angled sight light hole to be used for illuminating a Dot Lens. When using a Dot Lens, install the sight light using the #8/32 threaded hole on top of the scope housing to illuminate the center of the Lens.
