Product Information
The WS90 is a device that requires firmware upgrades for optimal performance. To upgrade the firmware, you will need to follow the instructions provided below.
Product Usage Instructions
- Download and install the software:
- Double-click on
dfuse_demo_v3.0.6_setup.exeto initiate the software installation process. - Once the installation is complete, open the installation path and select the appropriate USB driver for STM32 based on your computer system.
- Refer to the figure provided in the user manual for various driver paths.
- Double-click on
- Connect the WS90 Device to your computer:
- Use a USB cable to connect the WS90 Device to your computer.
- Press the reset button on the device to restart it.
- Check if the STM32 Device is recognized in the Device Manager of your computer.
- If the STM Device is in DFU Mode, it indicates that the driver is functioning properly.
- If the device is not recognized or there are any driver issues, reinstall the USB driver. If the problem persists, contact support@ecowitt.com for further assistance.
- Run the software:
- Open the installation path and double-click on
DfuSeDemo.exeto launch the software.

- Upgrade the firmware:
- Click on “Choose…” and select the
WS90_Vx.x.x_.dfufile for uploading. - Enable the “Verify after download” option.
- Click on “Upgrade” to initiate the firmware upgrade process.
- Click on “Choose…” and select the
- Completion of upgrade:
- Once the upgrade is completed, the interface will display the completion status.
- Click on “Leave DFU mode” to finalize the upgrade process.
- Press the reset button on the sensor to restart it.
- Ensure that the LED flashes every 8 seconds, indicating successful firmware upgrade.
Guidance on WS90 firmware upgrade
- Double-click “dfuse_demo_v3.0.6_setup.exe” to install the software. After the installation is completed, open the installation path, select and install the corresponding USB driver of STM32 according to the computer system, and various driver paths are shown in the following figure:
- 2. Connect the WS90 Device to computer with USB cable, and press the reset button to restart the Device. The blue LED light flashes, and check whether STM32 Device is recognized in the Device manager of the computer, and “STM Device in DFU Mode” shows that the driver is normal. If not, please reinstall USB driver, and if still have problem, please contact support@ecowitt.com for further help.
- Open the installation path, double-click “DfuSeDemo.exe” to run the software;
- Click the “Choose…” and choose the “WS90Vx.x.x.dfu” file for upload, then check the “Verify after download” option and click “Upgrade” to Upgrade the firmware.
- The interface for completion of upgrade is as follows. Click “Leave DFU mode” and the program will jump to complete upgrade. Press “reset” button to restart the sensor and make sure the LED flashes every 8s.
