Tools needed for installation
In order to install the shelf brackets, you will need a few tools and supplies: a stud finder, level, cordless drill with a bit or screwdriver, a pencil, a shelf, and at least two shelf brackets.
Installation
- Determine the location on the wall.
- Locate wall studs and mark them.
- Use a level and place it at the height you wish to install your shelf and then mark where the top of it crosses the stud center marks.
- Take your first bracket and place it so that the bracket lines up with the center of the stud and the bottom of the horizontal mark is just above the top of your bracket surface.
- Fasten the bracket to the wall through the top hole. Then take your level and align the bracket vertically and fasten the bracket securely to the stud through the remaining screw holes using the wall screws.
- Repeat the same process for the next bracket.
- Place your shelf on the brackets and center it for maximum support.
- Fasten the shelf to the brackets.
Installation is complete.
