Product Usage Instructions

Assembly:
- Attach the VACUFLEXTM (patented flexible bottom plate) to the Lux Motorised Furniture Nozzle.
- If using previous vacuum cleaner models, use the provided adapter to connect the nozzle.
Cleaning with VACUFLEXTM:
- Use VACUFLEXTM to deeply clean mattresses, couches, sofas, car seats, and all kinds of fabric upholstery.
- The flexible bottom plate stretches the fabric surfaces, creating a vacuum effect for efficient cleaning.
- Ensure the Lux 1 vacuum cleaner is connected to the mains and switched on.
Cleaning without VACUFLEXTM:
- Remove VACUFLEXTM to clean stairs and small carpets.
- These surfaces require airflow to allow optimal dust pickup.
Removal of VACUFLEXTM:
- To remove VACUFLEXTM, hold the plate at the bottom and pull it gently away from the Lux Motorised Furniture Nozzle.

Safety Instructions
Please read these safety instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference.

Intended Use

Use the electric power cleaning nozzle only with suitable Lux vacuum cleaners.
Use only for dust and dry materials. Never vacuum people or animals with the electric power nozzle. Any other usage, modifications or changes are not permitted.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 or over and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised when using or have received instructions for using the machine safely and understand the possible dangers.
Children should not play with this device. The cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children unless supervised by an adult.

Technical Safety

Always ensure the machine is switched off and is disconnected from the electricity supply before any changes, cleaning or maintenance are carried out.
Operate the unit only in accordance with this manual.
Check before operating whether the voltage indicated on the bottom of the device matches the local mains voltage.
Do not use the machine if it is damaged. Ensure that any damaged parts are only replaced by authorised Lux Service personnel.
Do not immerse the machine in water and only use a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the motor brush.

Correct Use

Do not use for hot or burning materials such as cigarettes or ashes.
Do not use on liquids and damp materials.
Do not use on easily flammable or explosive materials or gases.
Be careful that hair, fingers, clothing and the like never come in contact with the rotating roller of the electric power cleaning head.
Never touch the brush roller while the vacuum cleaner is connected to the mains. Never push the electric power cleaning head over the mains supply cable as the cable could be damaged.

NOTE: Congratulation for choosing PL 1 the new generation Lux motorised furniture nozzle with the patented VACUFLEXTM the flexible bottom plate for a perfect adher-ence to the surface and an easy cleaning. Please read these operating instructions prior to use of the power nozzle.

Assembly

Plug in the spiral cable on the power nozzle and connect the PL 1 power nozzle directly to the hose handle. Connection and use with elec-tric hose. Plug in the spiral cable on the hose connector. Connect the hose and its power cord to the unit.
Plug in the vacuum cleaner cable in the socket. Make sure that the hose switch is OFF.

Switch on the unit

The power nozzle brush can be turned on/off using the button on the hose handle. Connection and use with standard hose
Plug in the spiral cable on the extension cord. Fit the hose clips on the hose making sure that the clips are placed at even distances. Fix the extension cord. Connect the hose and the extension cable to the unit.
Plug in the vacuum cleaner cable in the socket. Switch on the unit. The power nozzle will now be switched on/off by switching on/off the vacuum cleaner.

Green light

The green light turns on to indicate that the brush is operating.
Removal the PL 1:
Switch off the unit and disconnect it.

VACUFLEXTM
VACUFLEXTM is a patented flexible bottom plate for deep cleaning.

Removal of VACUFLEXTM
To remove VACUFLEXTM hold the plate at one side edge. With little force turn it down over the small side ramp.
The locking of the plate will lift and automatically release itself.Assem-bly of VACUFLEXTM
To assembly the VACUFLEXTM click the plate on its lodgement.

Maintenance

Always switch off the unit and plug off the power cord before cleaning the power nozzle. Clean regularly the PL 1 after the use.
Cleaning of the brush
- If threads and other matters get caught in the brush roll, 7 remove the VACUFLEXTM care-fully cut along the cutting groove of the roller, being careful not to damage the brush; then switch on the vacuum cleaner to suck in the loosen threads. The power nozzle can be wiped clean with a damp piece of cloth.
Automatic switch-off function
- If the brush is blocked the motor switches off automatically. In this case switch off the unit, remove whatever item has blocked the brush, and switch it on again. If the power nozzle does not start again after this procedure, contact your local Lux service centre.

Optional accessory
Adapter for using the nozzle together with previous vacuum cleaner models.

Application

Cleaning with VACUFLEXTM
- Use VACUFLEXTM to deeply clean mattresses, couches, sofas, car seats and all kind of fabric upholstery.
- The plate stretches the fabric sur-faces creating a vacuum effect. This combined with the suction performance of the Lux 1 will guarantee a deep efficient cleaning.
- The VACU-FLEXTM high flexibility moreover makes the use of the power nozzle light and simple.
Cleaning without VACUFLEXTM
