Introduction
This operating manual contains important information regarding safety, operation and maintenance of the device. Please read these operating instructions carefully. Always keep this operating manual and the safety instructions in close proximity to your air purifier. We reserve the right to make changes due to technical developments compared to the versions shown in this operating manual. You can obtain the latest version directly from us. Warning
- Do not let water or any other liquid or flammable detergent enter the air purifier to avoid electric shock and/or a fire hazard.
- Do not use the air purifier if the plug, the power cord, or the air purifier itself is damaged.
- This air purifier is not a substitute for proper ventilation, regular vacuum cleaning, or use of an extractor hood or fan while cooking.
- If the power socket used to power the air purifier has poor connections, the plug of the air purifier becomes hot. Make sure that you plug the air purifier into a properly connected power socket.
- Do not sit or stand on the air purifier. Sitting or standing on the air purifier may lead to potential injury.
- The air purifier does not remove carbon monoxide (CO) or radon (Rn). It cannot be used as a safety device in case of accidents with combustion processes and hazardous chemicals.

Operation notes
3.1 Before Use
- Remove the protective packaging of the HEPA filter element before use. To do this, remove the filter element from the unit (see chapter 5) and then reinsert it properly.
- Before connecting the plug to a wall outlet, check that the mains voltage is correct. Observe the information on the type plate of the device.
- If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his service staff or similarly qualified persons to avoid any danger. Do not repair the device yourself.
- Turn off the unit when cleaning or putting it away. When not in use, always unplug the device (pull the plug itself, not the cable) and remove any accessories connected to it.
3.2 Usage Environment
- Never operate the unit in a room where explosive gas can accumulate. There is a risk of explosion if solvent or gasoline leaks.
- Never place burning objects (such as candles, cigarettes, etc.) near the device, otherwise there is a risk of damage or even fire.
- Never operate the device in a room with high humidity and high ambient temperature, e.g. in a bathroom, shower or swimming pool, toilet or kitchen, as moisture can accumulate in the device and cause an electric shock.
- Never add aromatic oil to the filter.
- Operate the device only at room temperatures between 0°C and 40°C.
- Always place and use the air purifier on a dry, stable, level, and horizontal surface.
- Leave at least 20 cm free space behind and on both sides of the air purifier and leave at least 30 cm free space above the air purifier.
- Do not place anything on top of the air purifier.
- Do not place the air purifier directly below an air conditioner to prevent condensation from dripping onto the air purifier.
- Do not use the air purifier in a room with major temperature changes, as this may cause condensation inside the air purifier.
- Never place the unit directly next to stoves, other heat sources, gas appliances or fireplaces.
3.3 In Use
- Operate the unit only with the filter element inserted and the cover closed.
- Do not hesitate to unplug the appliance if the running appliance emits a bad smell.
- Unplug the device before moving it.
- Do not spray any flammable materials such as insecticides or fragrance around the air purifier.
- Do not block the air inlet and outlet, e.g. by placing items on the air outlet or in front of the air inlet.
- Make sure that foreign objects do not fall into the appliance through the air outlet.
- Make sure the filter is properly installed before you switch on the air purifier.
- Only use the original MANN+HUMMEL filter specially intended for this air purifier. Do not use any other filters.
- Avoid knocking against the air purifier (the air inlet and outlet in particular) with hard objects.
- Never push objects or limbs through the air inlet or air outlet grilles!
- Do not use this air purifier when you have used indoor smoke-type insect repellents or in places with oily residues, burning incense, or chemical fumes.
- Always unplug the air purifier after use and before cleaning, or carrying out other maintenance or replacing the filters.
- The air purifier is only intended for household use under normal operating conditions.
- Do not move the air purifier by pulling its power cord.
- Use a FFP2 mask and disposable gloves when replacing the filter element.
3.4 Notice of Cleaning
- Always turn the air purifier off and unplug from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
- Never immerse the air purifier in water or any other liquid.
- Never use abrasive, aggressive, or flammable cleaning agents such as bleach or alcohol to clean any part of the air purifier. The air purification filter is not washable nor vacuum cleanable.
- Do not attempt to clean the filter or air quality sensor with a vacuum ( if a sensor is available).
- Regularly clean the inside and outside of the air purifier to prevent dust from collecting.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean both the interior and exterior of the air purifier.
- The air outlet can also be cleaned with a dry, soft cloth.
- Do not clean the air purifier with water, any other liquid, or a (flammable) detergent to avoid electric shock and/ or a fire hazard.
3.5 Storage
- Turn off the air purifier and unplug from the wall outlet.
- Clean the air purifier and air quality sensor (if available) (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).
- Let all parts air dry thoroughly before storing.
- Wrap the filter separately in an air tight plastic bag.
- Store the air purifier and filter in a cool, dry location.
- Use a FFP2 mask and disposable gloves when replacing the filter element.
To ensure the safety of your children, please keep all packaging (plastic
bags, boxes, polystyrene, etc.) out of their reach.
The appliance may only be operated by persons (including children) with
limited sensory, mental or physical abilities and by persons unfamiliar with
the Operating
Manual under the supervision of persons who are responsible for their safety
Children must not play with the device & Remote control.
Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without
supervision.

The status display shows the status of the air quality in real time.
– Green light: excellent air quality.
– Blue light: light air pollution.
– Yellow light: moderate air pollution.
– Red light: severe air pollution.

| Touch this button to display the set time.
– The product will switch cyclically between 1h→2h→3h→4h→5h→6h→
7h→8h→9h→10h→11h→12h→0h.
– Once the function is set, the unit will switch off at regular intervals.
– If the function is switched off, switch it on regularly.
– The timer function can be switched off by pressing the button for at least 3
seconds.
| Touch this button to activate the sleep mode.
– Press any button to exit the sleep mode
– Only this key lights up slightly green. In sleep mode the machine runs with
speed 1.
| This button displays the air flow rate.
– The function is set as default.
– If you touch this button when switching on, the air flow rate Indicator
lights up green and changes cyclically between air flow rate 2-3-4-1.
| Touch this button for 3 seconds to turn on the child lock mode.
– The child lock can only be turned ON at active operation
– The light indicates that the chadlock is active Press the button for 3
seconds in order to turn off the chadlock.
| Touch this button to turn on automatic mode.
– During operation the light is green as default.
– In automatic mode, the air flow rate will be automatically adjusted
according to the air index.
| The green light flashes and beeps to remind you to replace the filter.
– Replace the filter.
– Press this button after you have replaced the filter for 3 seconds in order
to reset the indicator.
| Touch this button for 5 seconds to activate the WIFI function. After a successful installation of the Smart Life app, add the Air Purifier (Wi-Fi) under small home appliance – environment. Please follow the instructions in the app and the enclosed brochure.
Filter replacement
| 1. Turn off the device.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the power socket.
Caution: The filter is NOT washable. Please only purchase MANN+HUMMEL
HEPA 14 original replacement filter to ensure performance and avoid damaging
the product.

| 3. Please hold the air purifier in place. Place your fingers in the groove
of the back cover and gently pull the back cover outwards to remove it.
4. Take out the filter and wrap the used filter material in a bag to prevent
pollutants falling from filter material in the room
Please dispose the used filter in an airtight foil bag in the household waste.
The replacement cycle of the filter is about a year (this may vary depending
on the environment of use).
| 5. Clean the housing thoroughly inside with a soft, lint-free cloth.
6. Adjust the direction of the new filter to correspond to the filter slot on
the purifier, and install the filter; then hold the door cover clasp, and
align the bottom of the door cover with the groove at the bottom of the main
unit, then close the door cover and insert it.
Please read the filter replacement operation carefully to ensure the
purification effect of the purifier.
Before cleaning the purifier system, unplug the power plug.
Keep the inside of the purifier dry to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting

If you still can‘t troubleshoot after the above inspection, please contact the repair shop or technical service center. Do not disassemble and repair by yourself to avoid danger and damage to the device.
Warranty and service
7.1 Scope of Warranty
a. The product must be used according to the instructions in the operating
manual;
b. The product must be handled properly according to its intended usage;
c. The original purchase receipt must be presented.
The MANN+HUMMEL warranty does not apply if the product is damaged due to
accidents, normal wear and tear, or inappropriate usage.

7.2 Recycling
This symbol means that this product shall not be disposed of with normal
household waste (2012/19/EU). Follow your country’s rules for the separate
collection of electrical and electronic products. Correct disposal helps
prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health. The
battery contained in the remote control of this device must be removed before
disposal and disposed of separately as a battery.
